    My only worry is the MJO wave is so low amplitude that it may not flush the pattern enough. I'd love to see the wave propagate at a higher amplitude, but I will take what we can get here.

    There are several people here who would be fine but nothing will be done. Too many above have issues with those who would be good candidates myself included even though this subforum would agree that any of us would do a good job.

    63 here so far today, beat the record by 4 at least.

    We might be, but there is definitely a signal of a strong Pacific Jet that could flush the pattern a bit late in the month, whether or not that means something positive for us, remains to be seen. It does seem like we are chasing that elusive cooldown though.

    Should break the record of 58 here today, forecast high is 60.

    I have a feeling we will be chasing ghosts all winter with the models, its almost not even worth investing any time beyond day 3-4.

    This is what I am expecting as well, southern piece is too slow northern piece too fast.

    Teens now use twitter or discord for weather chatting, things on a forum move too slowly for them. Personally I like both forums and chat groups, they both have pros and cons.

    No one here knows what next month is going to hold, we can't even get a week out forecast right.

    This as well, if we are hoping upon them we might be in for disappointment.

    You want to see a change compare the 00z GFS vs 06z GFS for next week. A day 4-7 forecast is completely different, you can't get any more different to be honest.

    With the source region for the clippers having been so dry as well, I don't know if we will get much from them either especially if they are starting off quite moisture starved.

    Dang that sucks, he was a legend in the UP when it came to weather coverage especially in and around the Keweenaw. RIP
