  1. If someone told me I had to go 2 years without heat or without A/C, I would choose without heat...
  2. Kinda funny you mention this as I was about to post this question earlier today. (If A/C was free I'd probably crank it as low as it goes!) Usually I keep it at 74-75 day and night along with strategically placed fans (wind chill). Sometimes a hour before bed I'll turn it down to 70 (to really cool things off) then back to 74-75 when I actually go to bed. That article is nuts with 80-82 at night, I sleep waaaaayyy better when cool/cold... 78F / DP 67F
  3. 93F but the DP is down to 60F w/a breeze. Was outside and it still sucks but was expecting it to be more uncomfortable. Inside now w/the A/C so I don't care any longer...
  4. 81F / 66F here at 9:20...you know it's going to be a hot one when you hit 80F by 9am. Windows closed, shades down and A/C on...
  5. Ditto. Both my parents turn 88 within the next 2 months so I feel I should stay close. But yeah, eventually I'll probably (will!) move to a colder climate. Maine always catches my eye (been there twice) and I'm not opposed to jumping ship to Canada...great scenery up there. F'en 80F at 10:30pm...
  6. Totally agree. A path of mid/upper 90s and humid with no end in sight really sucks..."SAD" sinks in. However I'm backassed, most people get it during Fall/Winter. 84F / DP 64F Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons — SAD begins and ends at about the same times every year. If you're like most people with SAD, your symptoms start in the fall and continue into the winter months, sapping your energy and making you feel moody. Less often, SAD causes depression in the spring or early summer. Treatment for SAD may include light therapy (phototherapy), medications and psychotherapy. Don't brush off that yearly feeling as simply a case of the "winter blues" or a seasonal funk that you have to tough out on your own. Take steps to keep your mood and motivation steady throughout the year. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/seasonal-affective-disorder/symptoms-causes/syc-20364651
  7. Going to do my best not to use the A/C today/tonight with temps in the upper 80s to around 90 w/not too bad DPs....tonight in the 60s. Tomorrow, Monday and further is a different story w/temps in the 90s and more humid. A/C will be on...damn electric bill. 68F / DP 61F
  8. Totally agree. It seems T-storms are teasing me w/dark clouds and distant thunder then I get a brief shower/downpour and that's it....never pans out fully. I miss last weekend's weather... 77F / DP 64F
  9. I don't see this being any more than a showery event w/occasional thunder....radar looks pretty weak.
  10. Rolling thunder with light/mod rain 74F...
  11. Meh, line doesn't look at that impressive. Still could ramp up though... 79F / DP 66F
  12. It would be nice if the sun popped out this afternoon to further fuel potential T-storms. As of now overcast, 71F / DP 67F...
  13. There's actually a decent/good chance memorial day weekend will be colder than Xmas weekend this year. Xmas falls on a Sat...I could easily see highs greater than 50F.
  14. Thurs the next chace at some activity/storms...tomorrow, meh, cloudy and normal temps. 75F
  15. Next week looks like hell, 90s and humid/muggy.... 76F / DP 53F
  16. Bag this, clouds rolled in and overcast. 55F
  17. Skies clearly quickly...bright blue to the W. 51F
  18. Out of nowhere loud rolling thunder...no rain. 48F
