  1. Of course. Don't be silly, consuming scolding coffee throughout the day is a must. Most likely I'll start heating the tar around 7am till I hit exactly 215F. In the meantime I'll make my speciality, ghost pepper and carolina reaper omelette after I take a hot shower while wearing all black clothing, heated gloves and a facemask. Really should be fun... 91F / DP 72F
  2. 95F / DP 72F Thinking about hot tarring my rooftop tomorrow for extra water protection, shouldn't be too bad. Fully expect Storms/Heavy rain Thursday into Friday...
  3. Still 80F at a little after midnight...DP 69F.
  4. My family (6 of us including myself) plus camping gear in the VW wagon went to the mountains sometime in the 70s. I don't think my Dad planned it out because on some of the hills we couldn't make it above 30mph....people passing us. Looking back, kinda funny. Thanks. I think he's happy w/people around and feeling ok for his age. He has his garden as well. Unlike me, he hates the winter. Probably because his bones start creaking. He turned 88 and doesn't look/act any different than 87 so I take this as a good sign.
  5. 11am newscast, digging Glenns forecast for the weekend (burbs)... Today-Wed ~ Blowtorch Thurs ~ Transition...possible storms Fri-Sun ~ Upper 70s...possible storms 88F / DP 75F
  6. Taking out trash, lightning bugs have definitely increased over the past week or so... 80F / DP 70F
  7. Yep, I noticed that as well. T-storms are/were kind of a reward to a shitty HHH day. Growing up playing sports (wiffle ball outside etc) it was clockwork...long hot/humid day T-storms usually roll in the late afternoon. Many times a couple rounds. Many overnight T-Storms as well. Now I can't buy one...
  8. Damn, I could go for a good T-storm... 82F / DP 71F
  9. 76F / DP 74F Cloudy It's soupy out but not horrible but if the sun breaks through it will be really uncomfortable...
  10. Thanks! My father is still "with it" but my mother (also 88) has dementia and doesn't know who I am (or anyone) . Sucked at first (2005) but nothing you can do and it doesn't phase me anymore. Simmons lack of shooting pisses me off moreso. He can do something about it where as my mother/older folks can't...
  11. And probably worth a shit- load of money restored. And my uncle (Father's brother) had the good old green VW beetle. Also worth a shitload of money restored...I honestly think he drove in that more tanked than sober. It was the 70s!!!!
  12. Back then, safety wasn't a priority and literally no one got hurt?? Just hungover memories. (I was too young) Half the shit people did back then would be considered such a crime now...strange. (No political stuff here) Visiting my Father tomorrow for his 88th B-Day...these are some pretty good memories to share w/him. I have a Dorney park memory he'll get a kick at as well...it involves a VW bright orange station wagon we had to push to pop the clutch/start to get home. It wasn't white trash but 70s...
  13. My dad (in the 1970s) would get explosives from "a guy at work" and our family would sit outside on the 4th blow them off. Dad (probably a bit loaded) would miss the lawn and land on the driveway. Next day he would wonder why the driveway/asphalt was cracked with blown out chunks. Then he would have to buy tar/asphalt filling to patch the holes/cracks because my mom was bitching at him.....lol, crazy shit in the 70s!
  14. M80s etc will always be "underground" stuff and illegal in my lifetime. In the late 80s I paid like $3/pc ($60 for 20pcs?) from "some guy" and yeah they could blow your hand off....
  15. Yep, got screwed. All the little sprinkles did now that the sun is out is raise the DP...
  16. Little rain here now but looks like the main stuff is to the west....close call.
  17. Pretty impressive blob of precip moving up which may actually affect my area. Much more radar activity today than I thought would be... 85F / DP 72F
  18. As Glenn mentioned yesterday many places out there don't have A/C which would suck as I'm nice/cool in A/C waiting for the 4pm Phils game...
  19. JTA and I are stuck in the alleyway of nothing... 85F / DP 71F
  20. Today was the transition day to heat....tomorrow a little hotter then an all out BBQ blazing weenie fest Mon - Wed! I'm completely missing any sprinkles/light rain shower....all to the N and S of me. 86F / DP 71F
  21. Already a mess out there at a little after 5am. Probably fire up the A/C by 7am, go out to pickup some jet fuel for the lawnmower then finish up by 9am and head into the frozen tundra and call it a day...
  22. Rant (s): Hate to sound mean but why are they still saying 160 people "still missing" in the Florida building collapse? I say at best 3 are still alive and giving families false hope. Yeah, a heavy brick /stone 12 story falls at 1:30am and people just survive? The people on the 6-12 floor would die from height. Those below get squashed even if they survive the height. I say by Sunday they (media) slowly start saying "we doubt anyone could survived." Sick of Brittany and her mental issues. Millions have mental issues but don't get her attention 24/7. Hey Brittany tell your screwed up Dad to F-off and leave....you have millions! What's he going to do ??? Watching PHL17 version of Ch6 at 10pm and Adam Joseph shows the nasty hot/humid/steamy 90s 5 day forecast. Then when done and as he does the awkward transition back to news desk....the giggly anchor laughing/smiling says "Look Great!" WTF!!! Trade Simmons....
  23. He's been around the block for 20+ years and knows this guys antics and prepared properly. Probably like Mildo's neighbors as he is creating blizzards while no snow is visible in a 50 mile radius...
  24. Most definitely! Dual 4BBL intake and running on nitrous. This dude taught me everything....he may have posted on this board at some point.
