Speaking of the PAC, I'm starting to see improvements in the long range. It's likely lights out for people south of i84 until mid-month though.

Saying this pattern reminds him of a recent historic winter is ridiculous. The Pacific looks nothing like it did in 2009/2010. We will definitely have our shots down the road (week 3+) if we can get a well-timed PNA spike.
We could even cash in with a slightly less atrocious PAC.
The PAC is straight trash for this system and will continue to be straight trash for the next 2-3 weeks. People really need to keep their expectations in check.
A well-timed PNA spike would do wonders so we'll see.

Tbh, I actually think it happens this time but I have no clue what that actually means for us. For all I know the PV gets stuck on the other side of the globe.
