    Question: is the IVT tied to the position of the primary low? In that would a more east low place the IVT further east? Im struggling to understand just how a norlun forms and moves.

    I did move to cross junction in 2020, which was good for snow - but no better for rain, but i moved back to stephens city in 2023. I'm so dumb, I moved here twice. Lol.

    The Sunday night forecast is 1 - 3". Precip by then seems very iffy out here.

    My NWS forecast for tomorrow is a chance of rain and snow with less than 1 inch accumulation. Not even a WWA.

    The relatively strong performance of Frederick County VA does not.

    If you like hiking and the outdoors then you'll love this area. The mountains are great and it's fall beauty is top notch. If you love interesting weather - besides wind - then you moved to the wrong place. You're in a little better spot than me; Winchester is usually the dividing line of total crap to it's south and getting better to it's north.

    Seemed to have missed all the heavier rains this morning. Picked up .23". Combined with the .5 that fell last evening though, it's the biggest rain event here in ages. Hopefully, we add more this weekend.
