  1. Now we have to root for nighttime snow fall. And during the day... drip, drip, drip.
  2. Looking forward to increasing my YTD total to 7.1". 9 more of these storms and my seasonal total will equal what MYB got this morning.
  3. I can't quite remember the year.... 2018 maybe. Weekend trip to BW and Canaan. Timed it perfectly with an arctic front. Arrived Friday afternoon, about 18" had just fallen and the temp was -1F with roaring winds. Next day at the sled track was -1F again. Light snow never stopped. Probably picked up 2 - 3" of wind swept fluff. Cleared off Saturday night and the winds died down and early Sunday morning the thermometer on the deck at the house we rented read -21F. Coldest temp I've ever experienced, although without the wind it felt a lot warmer than the 2 previous days. All that said, the Allegany Plateau is literally Heaven on earth. 4F for the low here this morning. Coldest low of the week.
  4. We cant buy a night without wind to allow for max cooling. 11F low
  5. Question that im unclear about: does the low closing-off tilt the trough negative or vice-versa?
  6. 6F. Wind stayed up too long last night to bottom out. Maybe tonight.
  7. This one has pure heartbreak for us written all over it. We get wind.
  8. Remember that day as well. AC cranking in the car and sweating my ass off in the outdoor section of the gym. Ridiculous.
  9. Still sleeting. Oficially 6" imby. I guess the streak ends at 10-years and 2-days. Not the way i wanted to break it though. This crap is awful shoveling. Heavy as sand.
  10. It is beyond frustrating watching it sleet at 11 degrees.
  11. Lol. How are you snowing still and ive been sleet more than an hour.
  12. The irony is the sleet map is inverted from forecast. Instead of the snow wedge in the Valley, the sleet ran ahead. What a stupid place.
  13. Why people discount that model is head scratching. It is almost always right with thermals.
  14. The change over was very quick. I saw flake size and intensity increasing so I got dressed to go out and enjoy.. As soon as i opened the door I heard the pings. A minute later it was all sleet. Now its pouring sleet. A kick in the nuts.
