  1. No evidence that anything fell overnight. Just another sunny, windy day here.
  2. Im already going to be at the Sled Run, else I'd join you.
  3. That's awesome! Able to walk right out to it now. Wow!
  4. Good spot. Make sure you check out Jon Jon's place, Stumptown. Great watering hole.
  5. Yeah. It's calcium on this end of the county. In the northwest part it's iron. What is it up there?
  6. Maybe it's volcanic ash. That's more likely.
  7. Moderate snow. But nothing sticking. Welcome to SAS.
  8. Well, that would be the second-largest event of the winter here. What's the snow depth out there? Heading out there this weekend to do some sledding at Blackwater.
  9. I hope this system misses us. Our infrastructure cannot handle another beat down like last night's.
  10. Did anyone anywhere get anything from this POS system?
  11. Ill be out in Blackwater Saturday. Looking forward to actual snow.
  12. Never saw a single flake. And it wouldn't have been snow if anything fell anyway.
  13. Im surprised it didnt take your gutters off with it.
  14. Full sun and torching to the mid 40s. Major meltage the past 2 days.
  15. Above freezing today and the blazing sun did its dirty work. I've seen every body of water completely frozen over. That's the first time in a very long time.
  16. Now we have to root for nighttime snow fall. And during the day... drip, drip, drip.
  17. Looking forward to increasing my YTD total to 7.1". 9 more of these storms and my seasonal total will equal what MYB got this morning.
  18. I can't quite remember the year.... 2018 maybe. Weekend trip to BW and Canaan. Timed it perfectly with an arctic front. Arrived Friday afternoon, about 18" had just fallen and the temp was -1F with roaring winds. Next day at the sled track was -1F again. Light snow never stopped. Probably picked up 2 - 3" of wind swept fluff. Cleared off Saturday night and the winds died down and early Sunday morning the thermometer on the deck at the house we rented read -21F. Coldest temp I've ever experienced, although without the wind it felt a lot warmer than the 2 previous days. All that said, the Allegany Plateau is literally Heaven on earth. 4F for the low here this morning. Coldest low of the week.
  19. We cant buy a night without wind to allow for max cooling. 11F low
