  1. Maybe the heaviest snow of the system out there right now. It's a fog of snow with probably 1/8th mile visibility.
  2. Tys is reporting 1/4th mile visibility right now. Hopefully that area is racking up.
  3. Can't tell for sure but it looks like the back side was starting to tilt a little bit.
  4. This band looks roughly a County wide or a little wider now. And it looks like there are maybe 2 more back into Middle Tennessee.
  5. Honestly, 3 inches in roughly 3 hours is pretty good. I'd guess you get another 1 to 2.
  6. Business has indeed picked back up here. 1.5 per hour rate I'd guess right now. Nickel sized flakes and a whole lot of them.
  7. Heavy band is just about to me and Holston again. Hopefully it heads back to 2+ inch per hour rates.
  8. It's 23 degrees. I'd guess the ratio is heading towards 13-15:1.
  9. There's a very heavy band just to our west working this way.
  10. Some of the heaviest snow I've seen in years. This is about 4 hours worth.
  11. Are you home or did you say you were visiting someone since Boone was cancelled?
  12. Future radar shows the last heavy band passing here around 8am. Man, I hope it is correct.
  13. Point forecast updated for up to 8 inches tonight and 2 more tomorrow.
  14. Yeah, this is 75 here right now. The hotel I recommended is right there at the darkest red near Pioneer.
  15. If I can get 4 more hours of this, that 15 inch total the GFS tossed out at 0z is going to be darn close.
  16. I don't know what to make of that on the radar but not falling. I've seen the opposite but never seen that in the middle of a storm.
  17. 2+ inch per hour rates still rolling. Wind has now died down except for a few gusts occasionally.
  18. Nearing 3 inches now. 2in per hour rates going. Sounded like it may have thundered but could have been a vehicle.
  19. I guess its blowing around the building in different directions.
  20. The fine powder is high ratio and it piles up fast. I had 11 inches in 3 hours during the blizzard and flakes were dime sized. There were just so many of them falling it was like a fog cloud on the ground. Similar conditions now. The blizzard lasted for almost 24 hours, this one is going to last 5 or 6 or we would be looking at 2 feet.
  21. Down in LaFollette, roads are now covered. https://www.resortcams.com/webcams/downtown-lafollette-tn/
  22. Crossing 2 inches. Visibility around 1/4th mile or less. Wind has calmed down some or it would be full blizzard conditions.
