  1. Is anyone going to tell him the ensembles are much more coarse than deterministic models?
  2. GFS throws down a 15 inch gauntlet for me and a lot for everyone else.
  3. Friend in Memphis posted a video of her dog playing in 3-4 inches of snow with big flakes still falling and lots of wind blowing it around.
  4. How long did it snow before it started laying and what is your temp?
  5. First front is by here. The winds have picked up and we've dropped 10 degrees in the last 45 minute or so.
  6. Looking back at 18z/12z suite of globals, models were off by about half for the Arkansas area. Most areas seem to be reporting around 2x what was modeled.
  7. Some blizzard warnings being issued in parts of West Virginia.
  8. I knew that was needed. I am surprised MEG hasn't added any.
  9. Another of the hi-res Cams from 0z. Monster for nearly the whole forum area.
  10. 0z FV3.. I believe this is one of the Cams that MRX said was trending down a bit earlier in their AFD.
  11. 01z RAP is slowly ticking up for the East and is way up for the Western areas.
  12. Little Rock went from 52 and cloudy to 34 and snow in a couple hours. Temps fell from there. The snow started in the afternoon during the warmest sun of the day and it almost immediately started sticking. It even stuck to paved surfaces. Hopefully this will slow down the whole "snow won't stick" narrative that the local TV Mets went on about earlier this week. I will credit Todd Howell who apparently honked early that rates overcome.
  13. Saw another 4.5 inch and two more 4 inch reports from Little Rock.
  14. HRRR and RAP at 0z are a solid 6+ for virtually everyone from the Eastern Rim to the mountains. 3-4 across the mid-State.
  15. Tennessee rolling vs Miss State in the SEC T and a snow event inbound. True March Madness.
  16. The first front went by there about an hour and twenty minutes ago.
  17. I expect the whole state should be under a Winter Storm Warning at this point. Don't know if any NWS will pull the trigger though.
  18. I believe the Arctic front will push that out and storms will align SSW to NNE with it. The HRRR shows this.
  19. NM, I read the tweet wrong. They were launching it with heavy snow falling. The balloon didn't get heavy and fall. Little Rock NWS tried to send a weather balloon up but its snowing so hard the snow weighted it down and it came back. The snow was sticking on pavement and all there.
  20. At first I thought you meant a Chattanooga Snow Weenie.
  21. Pinebluff quickly transitioned to Thundersnow. Looked like the temp went from 52 to 34 there in about two hours.
  22. How impressive is this for any time of year, let alone Mid-March. I wouldn't even be shocked if the Winter Storm Warning moves West.
  23. First front is along the Plateau. Thundersleet reported in Pine Bluff Arkansas.
