  1. Full on hook now. We'll see if it chokes off. This could be a long tracker rooted. 30 miles WNW of Morocco IN wink wink
  2. IKK storm has some 700mb help per meso analysis. Subtle shortwave pushing it along
  3. Only game in town unless you like chasing power flashes in the dark. I'd stay on it if you're close. It'll be dark before the western stuff gets to IKK area.
  4. Yeah, it's notched and cocked. Patient IKK chasers may be rewarded
  5. Man, once any of these get their feet into the BL and locked it could get scary. The ventilation is crazy good. Look for one to hang a hard right. Somebody gonna get smacked. Hopefully just a cow
  6. 48 in Joliet 79 in Pontiac in IL. Where's Waldo lol
  7. HRR has been sliding a solo SUP between Marion and you between 10pm and 2am across a few runs over the last 8 hours. Its a left mover out ahead of that SSE propagating MCS coming down across the state early morning. Saw some SRH values as high as 450 m2s2 with that thing. I will be up into the wee hours with my ears perked. Big potential for an after dark long tracker across N IN and then possibly some 60+ winds depending on how that MCS pans out. Keep those falling rocks in MI lol. Part of this system looks like freaking July lol.
  8. Better pick right, you may only have an hour or 2 to see anything. Personally I'd park it in Morocco IN, eat lunch and wait lol.
  9. Good luck to all next door. All I can hope for is a stray pre frontal cap breaker in the late afternoon through evening. Think there will be more nighttime action than anyone desires. Gonna be 12 hours or so of twilight through the dark hours for a potential long tracker to run out ahead. Keep those weather radios and radars cranking. Only good thing is storm motion doesn't look to be typical early Spring speedsters. These will be full on SUPS hard anchored into the BL if/when they blow up before getting messy as they move East.
  10. Gimmee summa dat 7 day sucka dust lol
  11. Gonna be Mr. Shitzcky slop storms with lots of mud generators around here. Too late in the evening, stratus deck all day capping it. I swear the timing of storm systems the past few Springs has been horrid for here. Not that I'm wishing mine or anyones house to be slabbed out here in the stix but it would be nice to chase something without spending 100 dollars lol. Have Xanax script ready for the dog, and me if his doesn't work
  12. Man I'm glad this rain train is staying to my south. We've gotten over an inch but to be honest our soil has been quite moist coming out of the thaw last month. I won't mind inch here there through May. besides keeping the mud to a minimum it is extra good for the coming mushroom season. Heavy heavy rains will shut it down. Here's a pic if anyone wants to start training
  13. My forecast, mud, mud, partly frozen mud, continued mud
  14. Same here, 2in stat padder. Hope she made it safe.
  15. 1/31/26 OH Valley deep freeze snowpack. We're still 10in deep of frigidity here lol. Coldest stretch since that snowless hell year 10 or so years ago. Once again, snow makes it justified. Pretty much entire forum covered so for all the the me me me mby complaining that is a plus thats gonna move this year to an B/B+ so far for me even though we're still shy of average snow wise. I'll take it following 5 D/F years in a row. Need some extra credit as we move through the next 6 weeks with a nice March "icing" to cover the mid to late Feb mud fest thats coming
  16. Ended up with 10 down here so that is an official "Big Dog" for us. I can't stress enough how fortunate we were that there was little wind with this. With just the light wind we had there were 3 foot drifts pretty common in the town while some of the more notorious drifting spots in the country with 5 - 6 footers easy. First time since 2017/2018 I put the truck in reverse and we had much higher sustained winds with that one for 3 days. Spent 10 hours out in the storm, drove 125 miles. It still amazes me how much banding affects totals. There were places, especially to my N/NW and to my W/NE that had 8-10 then a 5 mile "desert" of only 5 then back to 8 to 10. Really congrats to our brethren to the south and our OH peeps. For all the complaining on this board this has been one of the best winters sub wise in at least 7-8 years. Especially with now 2 storms that over 1/2 to 3/4's of the sub received warning criteria totals out of one storm. I promised that I wouldn't complain until Dec if we ended up with double digits sooooo....
  17. Absolutely! It was stunning late last night early morning when I was driving around before sunrise. Some of the "sparkeliest" and most colorful snow I've seen outside the Mnts. It was like thousands of tiny prisms refracting mini rainbows from the headlights across the ground.
  18. Last piece of upper energy swinging through down here. Just enough forcing to provoke a few more bands. Hopefully squeeze out another inch or 2 down here.
  19. Been out since 6. Country out here is treacherous. 2 to 3 footers. Man any wind and this stuffs gonna pile up. 7 to 10 around the yard so I'll call it 8. Models still want to drop another 2-4 but not sure. We started getting a lot of columns in the bands early this morning. We shall see. Fun storm regardless. Justifies the freezer incoming.
  20. Using Penny Wharville-Mcgill's famous word from Oh brother where Art Thou, snow makes this brutal cold Bona Fide
  21. Almost 2in here. Winds light with some gusts buts enough to blow this stuff. Dime-Nickel flake size. Some 1 footers out there already. Country roads have drift ripples building. Hope this front end lasts.
  22. It has begun, and with wind. This stuff will blow big 4-6 footers out here if we can get 20mph winds. Drift busting ensuing early morning baby!
