Oh of course
though last year was the first time in my life I didn’t stay up to watch 10:00 or 10:30 games…well I did the first few. But there were also several games I packed it in early. Nothing will ever beat a few years ago, no matter how disappointing blowing the 3-1 series lead was. That regular season was incredible. Every game was enjoyable
I sure as hell hope winter is good this year because the Patriots will probably be mediocre, Bruins probably going to tank for a shot at McKenna and Celtics probably a bottom playoff team. There will be nothing to take the mind off a shitty winter if we get another.
I’m really going to miss summer. It’s so much easier wearing shorts and getting up at like 5 to get the dog out…so easy just to throw on pajama pants. It’s going to suck in winter when it’s still pitch dark out and freezing and having to dress up.
milky sky here but can still see some blueish tint along with some cirrus. Probably wouldn't be much smoke at ground level if we didn't have a bit of a breeze mixing things up. Though I haven't really looked at anything in terms of the smoke plume and how shallow it really is so could be breeze has minimal impact
Finally got the air quality alert issued for Mass. I noticed a different odor as well, didn't have the same scent as some of the previous intrusions of smoke from a few months back.
Yeah the only way we'd ever probably see one is with a full fledged derecho, but then again, how often do we ever see SPC go high risk for damaging winds alone? I can't even remember the last time there was a 60% hatched wind area by the SPC lol.
saw that popup on Radarscope...looks like very close to downtown maybe even the mall area? Wouldn't have wanted to be on that stretch of 84 when those cells were moving through. I'd be shocked if there isn't an accident on the highway there
I have to say...the little time I've started using the RRFS it doesn't seem any better. Not sure how accurate it is but it seems they struggle with convection in these very high PWAT/dewpoint airmasses.
That has a little wind core too.
If forcing was probably a bit more or we had a bit stronger of a llvl flow we'd probably be looking at multiple areas of concentrated wind damage.
Gotta love dews spiking well into the 70's.
Given how easy we seem to get dews like this now I wonder if we can ever time an EML/front with dews like this. I've always been skeptical of whether we would ever see a high risk within the Northeast again but that would probably do the trick.
