  1. Pumping heights out ahead vs 18z. Good sign if anyone still fears suppression
  2. Wtf is Fern? Fern as in Fernando? Why not Ferb?
  3. I think so. And me thinking suppression was a huge problem 48 hrs ago and now we are getting models with mixing into southern and eastern zones of our region. Scary how quickly this continues to morph.
  4. Borrowed from the Mid Atl sub....Ukie ens came North and increased.
  5. The MRF (the gfs before it was renamed gfs) was the last to come North with the heavy banding in '96
  6. I will head out tomorrow and get a Whopper on Whopper Wednesday in honor of your return!
  7. I agree with this. Setup morphed entirely over the past 36 hrs. Went from suppressed fears and no NS to full phase and amping up. I do think many here are in a very very good spot attm.
  8. we just got nuked on the 18z euro. Full clean phase. 12-16" se pa
  9. @Ji are you following your rule and going with the least snowy model, ie the gfs? Or does that not apply with this system?
  10. Completely agreed. Probably wont end up a HECS, that would be mega rare in a Nina. But a MECS is clearly on the table and I dont think a single one of us would have scoffed at this potential going into a Nina winter. I always say keep expectations low.
  11. Wow ...thats a jump if we r being honest. Where do I sign?
  12. Paul showing qpf, im talking actual surface low position was N
  13. Euro AI held course, even crept N a hair with the slp.

  15. Good spot to be on an ens mean at this lead! VA can have their jackpot, Im quite fine sitting at a half foot on a mean.
  16. ^^^This But hell, even the mis-timed CMC we still manage a foot+ region wide. There is ample wiggle room on either side.
  17. And we still have amped models that have the sleet line to us. Im not too concerned tbh
  18. Fwiw, the tree guy is here right now with the chipper, I kid you not. Should I dive in head-first or feet-first?
  19. It is, and maybe just noise, but there were big enough differences under the hood to make me raise an eyebrow.
  20. CMC also took a 150 mile jump South with the surface low off of SC. Still throws good moisture our way, better than GFS. But a notable increase in confluence and strength of HP to our North this run.
  21. Well, if the storm gets derailed over the next day or so, I will close mine and we can start fresh with a new thread and good mojo
  22. There are still suppressed looks, so we do have some wiggle room i suppose.
