    It doesn’t even seem like it gets that cold in the lower lakes region. To me looks very January-ish

    Every time I check the models, the cold gets pushed back every 6 to 12 hours every run.

    Wrong side of the low. Yes, for storm being on the wrong side of low 99.9% of the time it would’ve been a rainmaker, but that time it was a legit snowstorm technically, the storm “missed us”

    It was not horrible in the upper Midwest, Ohio valley, EC and the snow belts. It was a lower Great Lakes issue.

    that storm in early 1999. Technically it missed us. We were on the wrong side of the low.

    I think there was maybe three storms from November 1994 through December 1998 that hit 6 inches or more.

    Records was being smashed all over the state…except. SEMI. Storms missed from every direction. Couldn’t even reel in a clipper. it was that bad. This winter feeling eerily similar thus far. Obviously things can change.

    No. You miss understood me. It’s not the 1-2” that’s forecasted. It’s the dusting we had on the ground. lol. Yes 7 days of “snow otg” that hasn’t totaled 2”. It is kind of shining up a piece of turd. And it was lake effect too.

    Nah me and Josh are cool. We’re just waiting for the real storms.

    It’s lake effect dusting southeast Michigan style it’s not like we had mountains on the side of the road. It’s not like the grass was completely covered. We’re talking a dusting that’s just stuck around.

    Yawn since Dec 1st (DTW) the ratio between warm days and cold days is almost 6 to 1.

    Last 10 winters. Is roughly 1.6 degrees warmer than what the 90’s was.

    The only 16 inch plus storm that I can remember that was done within 12 hours was that New Year’s Eve 2008 storm and that’s as rare as it gets around here.

    I totally understand what you’re saying. I get it it wasn’t as flashy as most 16 inch storms are. It took 29 hours to get it and I do understand people will forget it because it took forever to get to that point but Detroit is not notorious for 12 inch plus events so I don’t know how people could forget about it and somebody like Steve chooses to forget about it because he just likes to complain about Southeast Michigan, that’s my opinion
