Interesting setup today. There was accumulating snow (dusting to half inch) south of downtown near Reynolds and Biltmore but nothing stuck in West Asheville or downtown. Guess it was how the bands setup
Tomorrow I'm going with my dad to Banner Elk to look at some property, snow should be lighter then but hope to see quite a bit on the ground.
It's a lot warmer than i expected even in Asheville its not that bad. Mid 40's when they forecasted 30's. Looks like there was a good dusting here but it was pretty much gone by 8 a.m. I expect similar amounts tomorrow here
No doubt. I once had car trouble on the way back from a job interview in Wilmington and was broke down in Lumberton. The people there were nice and helpful albeit a little rough around the edges. There are fine people all across NC.
Really the whole 74 corridor from Wadesboro to Lumberton up to Fayetteville is probably lowest on the list of NC places to live due to high poverty levels, crime rates, and overall lack of things to do
I think the setup for later next week is the best of the season for NWFS. The orientation of the moisture looks good and with the ,low bombing out near the northeast it could be a good one...
The GFS looks juicy
