  1. 18 here, first teens of the season. Still waiting on a decent fantasy storm to show up on the models..
  2. Blue Ridge looks beautiful this morning. Glad more rain is coming Sunday we still need more, the water levels aren't quite back to normal.
  3. Snow is starting to feel like Santa or the Easter Bunny when you are like 7 or 8 years old. You start to realize something doesn't add up and you just don't believe its real anymore..
  4. The WAA moisture is leaving until the wrap around gets here
  5. I'm not seeing this favorable pattern yet. Looks like warm up then rain then cold, before it warms up and rains again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  6. To be fair the GFS did catch on to the last system better than most (UK showed it first) BUT it was the most off on snow totals. It had at least 5 inches to as much as over a foot for AVL every single model run for a few days and they got an inch. I would proceed carefully with GFS snowmaps.
  7. Almost all of the short range models have a track right over the mountains now
  8. HRRR is mostly rain except above 3k. Look at those totals in WV!
  9. Hopefully the operational models will follow suit soon.
  10. Afraid this one is going the wrong direction fellas
  11. The Nam kinda sucks for Buncombe and areas east, but decent for border.
  12. East and Middle Tennessee will have more snow than our yearly average at this rate though.
  13. HRRR looks promising for mountains. Downsloping killing me though
  14. The Euro also has heavier precipitation along and east pf the Blue Rudge than previous runs and the low is a little farther south too which helps.
  15. Got down to 21 last night with a massive frost, even coating the trees. I am intrigued by the Thursday night system. If it can dig another 75 miles even the northern foothills have a shot at some frozen.
  16. Even though the snow output was egregious
  17. So who was the big winners? Fredericksburg, Bowling Green over to Waldorf looked to do well. I wonder how Easton and Cambridge did on the eastern shore.
  18. Don't worry northern va to New England is gonna get crushed Thurday night/Friday. SE ridge is killing us still.
  19. Went on a drive. Strange accumulations with this storm. Little Switzerland and Spruce Pine had an inch or 2 but South Toe area and Busick in Yancey had almost nothing. One area near Woodlawn had an inch and a few miles later had a dusting or nothing. Not exactly elevation dependant either.
