I think I’ve gotten 5 Tuesday night men’s league rounds in since the end of May and a similar number of Sunday mornings in. Couple the rain with our fours being closed for a week to host the state am and golf outings are down for me.
I did it! We finished the 9th in light rain around 7:30. Since then we’ve had almost an inch of rain. For the love of god, someone please make it stop!
The smells were pretty bad in places. Mold and mildew, wet carpet etc. it seems like businesses got the worst of it in Montpelier while people’s homes got it worse in Barre. The worst hit was the poorer part of town.
Downtown Montpelier tonight.
The first image is of the Pavilion building. The governor, state treasurer and attorney general have their offices in it. The second image is how high the water got on State St. looks like it was 5’-6’ above street level. The last picture is the inside of the Aubuchon Hardware store. Completely gutted.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a whiner. You aren’t in a drought, your lawn isn’t “crispy”. You’ll be able to turn on the faucet and drink a glass of water in the morning.
FFW just extended to Orange County. These same areas were hit a couple of weeks ago. There was a lot of washed out road edges on Rt.125 down past the Middlebury Snow Bowl through Ripton. There was also a house that got burrows by a landslide. This certainly won’t help.
16”+ here. With half that coming with the flood. Water is still coming out of places you don’t normally see it. My new golf course is pretty wet. Took a bout 45 minutes of rain Saturday to make it unplayable.
