  1. I’m driving up to Presque Isle Sunday. Will ride from there Monday and Tuesday the. I go to Caribou for more riding and some snowmobile association meetings. Looking forward to it.
  2. Add to this winter for him the fact that the Eagles are going somewhere that the Cowboys can’t really even imagine anymore and it’s been especially hard on him.
  3. Make sure to wear a windbreaker and decent sneakers.
  4. It’s not a new phenomenon. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/do-canada-geese-still-fly-south-for-winter
  5. Wow. Do you think it was an attempt to use it as an ornamental? Or is it nowhere near an old homesite?
  6. Watch a short doc on VT PBS about Mt. Snow’s first 40 years. It was made in 1995. Pretty interesting
  7. Looks like another inch or so in the afternoon squalls. Roads got pretty crappy.
  8. He still curses that month. It was awful here too.
  9. @powderfreakjust kicked the lift tower in Stowe.

  11. 3" with crust on top. Was flurrying a little too. 31.4°
  12. Put my first miles on tonight. Decided I was going to break my access trail out to the main trail and when I got there, the groomer had been through so I just kept going. Only did 5 or 6 miles but it was good to be out.
  13. It’ll happen. I’m supposed to be in Caribou that week. Lalalalalock it in.
  14. Light snow for last hour or two. 26.6°
  15. Latest map from BTV. Sounds like other areas of NNE have trended worse. BTV is keeping a stedy hand.
  16. I don’t know. BTV doesn’t seem overly enthusiastic with totals. They’re saying we mix. Wednesday Night Snow before midnight, then snow and sleet likely between midnight and 4am, then a chance of snow, freezing rain, and sleet after 4am. The snow and sleet could be heavy at times. Temperature rising to around 30 by 5am. Southeast wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible. Thursday A chance of snow before 7am, then a chance of snow showers after 7am. Cloudy, with a high near 37. South wind 7 to 11 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  17. This is like the opposite of that January a few years ago that @powderfreak always laments. Brutal cold only broken up by rainstorms. We ended up with BN temps, AN precip and BN snow. A lousy trifecta.
