    I’ve heard tales told of the Great SE Mass desert. Nary a lawn grows with out irrigation. All centered on the wasteland that is Taunton. I hear they’ve only had 5” or rain in the last 3 weeks. Not sure how civilization survives.

    It might not have been local government. It might have been the venue. I would also say that the town has to balance the interests of the business with its residents. 11:00 isn’t awful. The noise and stuff doesn’t stop immediately. I bet with big shows the disturbance doesn’t end until 2:00 or 3:00

    Check this out. A fisher cat in my friend’s yard in Essex Jct. These things are nocturnal. It actually came up on his front porch while he was at the screen door. Didn’t faze it at all. I wondered if it might be rabid.

    Saw these guys open for the Black Crowes last summer. Great opening band.

    I like Tedeschi/Trucks too. I only referenced Phish because they came up when and where I was hanging out in the late 80’s. I also saw Derek Trucks play with the Dickie Betts Band when he was 15 or something crazy like that. What a talent.

    He doesn’t fit the cookie cutter image and sound the industry wants and pushes. Country seems like it’s where rock was in the 80’s. It pushes acts that fit the formula. That’s how we got hair metal. There are a lot of good country acts, like Hippy pointed out. You just don’t always find them on country radio as much as they should be.

    Neither have I. I was hanging out in Burlington a lot when Phish was starting up. I know I had to see them play at Nectar’s at some point but they must not have made a lasting impression on me because I don’t remember them lol.
