A colleague who lives in Wolcott says they got 12"-14". I asked his elevation and he said 500' higher than Morrisville. I will say he's a counselor and social worker not a meteorologist, though he is a longtime Smuggs skier.

As soon as I saw that map posted I knew @tamarackwould be tossing his laptop into the wood-stove in a rage. I’m with him though. Particularly that storm that pounded NYC while we got some sloppy snow and then rain was infuriating.

True and having snow with no deep cold is better than not having snow.

Be careful what you wish for. We really want some solid cold to freeze the ground first. There is so much water this year, we need a lot of freezing before the pack starts to build.

Aren't hockey rinks supposed to be cold?

I was wondering if that had anything to do with the abundance of moisture due to the rain we've had and the fact that the ground is pretty moist. Last year was so dry.

Same here. @ORH_wxmanwould be pissed. I’m running the dryer and the exhaust melted the dusting in the deck.
