  1. Yikes, I hope your pipes don’t freeze.
  2. Now that’s a picnic table pic PF has never caught to share with us.
  3. He’s probably complaining about the wind reports from the guy on Black Cat Island.
  4. You’re down in town right? I-89 between exit 5 and exit 6 has been pretty bad I heard. That section down through exit 3 is the worse for weather. It tops out at something like 1850’ just south of exit 5. Some of my scariest drives have come on that section of road.
  5. Pretty decent squall. Snow sideways, not quite white out but it’s plastering the windows. Down to 15°
  6. Yep. Luckily the snow that we just got fell before it froze too hard so it looks like it bonded pretty well.
  7. Had a little sleet/graupel/rain around 1:30-2:00 and then some clear blue skies and I figured it had fizzled. Around 4:30 the squall came through starting as graupel and quickly changing to all snow. Temp down to 25.5° off a high of 38.6° Had a big ole .09" of rain.
  8. And I can't believe Will did that to you!
  9. Yeah, that is awful. I've probably just ended the season here. I bought a new (to me) sled this weekend. Combined with the new snowblower I bought earlier, I'm surprised we haven't been sunny and 60.
  10. That's what I thought. I understand it being crappy over that way. Seems like retention has been an issue and never truly getting the storm that put you into true winter mode.
  11. Do you mean 20" below normal to this point or below your final seasonal total?
  12. That’s funny because I’ve heard the snow is pretty deep up around Camel’s Hump.
  13. I grade on a combo weighted towards an enjoyment factor. This stretch since MLK Day has been good but if we don’t get anything more soon it will end snowmobiling early. But I also consider climo. The lack of true cold is a demerit. Right now I’m thinking C- maybe a straight C. Further south where they got whalloped, I could see a better grade.
  14. Where does your sister live? My mother was from Yorkshire. I have cousins around Huddersfield and my aunt still lives in a small village called Sowerby Bridge.
  15. I saw dendrite and Will commenting on that. I was gone most of the day but it looks like that is wrong. Here is a snapshot of my station. As you can see, my high was 40.1°
  16. It’s the afterburners from the F-35s
  17. Did a notch tour of NH today. Started out going to Pittsburg to buy a new to me sled. It was snowing most of the way and while we were there for a while. Pittsburg has decent snow but nothing huge for them. Headed back south and decided to take a left through Dixville Notch. Precip went from sleet in Colebrook to snow through the Notch and windy. Snow was heavy at times while we were in Errol. By the time we got to Berlin and Gorham it was raining. Up through Pinkham it transitioned to sleet by the time we got to the Auto Road and was really pounding snow by Wildcat. Roads were pretty nasty through Jackson. Still snow as we headed west on 302, occasionally mixed with, particularly around Attitash. Precip was light through most of Hart’s Location and was snow through Crawford. Changed to rain just past Fabyan’s.
  18. And Maine is the the girl who plays softball, can drink you under the table and tells you when you’re getting married rather than waiting to be proposed to.
  19. Not quite simultaneously. But the moon is rising in the notch that we were riding to. The bottom pic is looking west from the hill on the right. I think we were at 2100’ looking towards the spine. Camel’s Hump is on the left.
  20. All I can say is we hit 40° for the first time in 2021 since you decamped to Northfield. I’m blaming any early spring in central VT on you.
  21. We were riding down the snowmobile trail and I topped a little rise and I had to pull over and take that picture of the moon. My crappy iPhone doesn’t do it justice.
