My wife has worked for BCBS VT for 30+ years. I asked her and she said that would qualify as an event. The caveat obviously is that is for their purposes and I imagine it could be different elsewhere. Are her options not so good that you will be going on her plan? I work for the State of VT and we actually had the State plan for several years because BCBS paid her if she had insurance elsewhere so the $ numbers worked in our favor. When our son was born, it was less expensive to switch to her plan so I don't have the state employee plan.

For me, it was getting tired or rooting against teams. When your team is always bad so all you have left to root for is other team's failures, it's time to find other things to occupy your time. I still hate the Pats though.

Yeah, I like a crisp, cold beer. I’ve never been a fan of ipas. I remember when the craft beer stuff started. Magic Hat #9 was like the first big hit up here. I just couldn’t get into it. I stuck with Mich Light and then Ultra. When I went to Germany a couple of summers ago, each restaurant/pub had their own Pilsner, I liked several of those. Basically, I have an unsophisticated palate.
