  1. You do know that is basically the entire point of this forum, don’t you? If a meteorologist who has gone to school and honed his craft through the years doesn’t think it’s going to snow in your back yard, they obviously don’t know what they’re talking about. If people start following your advice, AMWX is done.
  2. Maybe that's our ticket to fame and fortune, toecoin.
  3. That's what I love about this time of year too. I've often ended up holing out on the 18th with just enough light to see the flagstick.
  4. And here I thought nobody gets killed by dinosaurs Body of missing man found in Spanish dinosaur statue https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-57226774
  5. Masking requirements for fully vaccinated people have been dropped in state buildings. I'm actually in the office with 6 colleagues.
  6. Yeah, it’s over. It’s nice to have galleries back, I guess. I really enjoyed watching without idiots yelling after every shot though.
  7. Wow. This is quite a story. China ultramarathon: Severe weather kills 21 runners https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-57216601
  8. Here’s the problem with Phil in the lead, we have to endure god awful, sentimental pieces on his life. Ugh. Luckily, for a little while at least, I can just watch the EPL season wrap up.
  9. Not here. Need to flush the leftover heat out of the house.
  10. Funny, I was thinking the same thing. I’ve never been a huge Phil fan but would be cool to see him grab a record like that. That might even drive Tiger to push to play seriously again to take that away from him.
  11. Why are you stalking him with creepy posts like this?
  12. And yet, this place in Copenhagen was voted the world’s best restaurant for several years in a row. https://www.theworlds50best.com/the-list/1-10/Noma.html
  13. We did Vegas. Grand Canyon and Death Valley in August 2018. Flew into Vegas and stayed a couple of nights before driving east. Stopped and did the Skywalk, where I learned about my fear of heights. Then we drive to Williams, AZ and took the train up to the Grand Canyon. That was a great trip. We went from 100°+ to 70° and showers in Williams at 7500’. On the way back we drove down to Sedona. That was a beautiful drive down from the Mogollon Rim. Back to Vegas for a day and then over to Death Valley, which is a totally surreal landscape. I was hoping for 120° but only got 119° on the big thermometer. This year we are driving out to Mt.Rushmore and Yellowstone.
  14. Obviously taking tips from me.
  15. 86.9° for the high on my PWS. That’s also the high for the year. Looks pleasant there. I was out in the williwacks of Groton State Forest trying to lay out a new snowmobile trail. I’m lucky to be alive after the ferocious black fly swarming I suffered.
  16. If we’re lucky, this will be the high water mark for heat for us this year.
  17. That’s good. It was such an odd winter, so good in the middle but crap on either end.
  18. SkiVT2 just smashed her laptop in despair and rage.
  19. Your boy Connors took a nosedive right off the bat this morning.
  20. Finally moving up north for more snow, nice! Anyway, I had some of it going on the second monitor between Teams meetings. I was surprised by Koepka. I want sure his knee would hold up. This course is lot less hilly than Augusta. Also surprised by DJ. T97 at +4.
  21. Early going in the PGA. Nice to see Rickie Fowler near the top, even if it is early. Sounds like the 600 yd 16th is not reachable in two.
  22. We haven’t even talked about the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island this week. Not sure who I like. Would be good to see Rory grab another major. DJ could grab it. One thing I know, as I just looked up and saw an interview with him playing on the Golf Channel, is I don’t want to see Patrick Reed anywhere near the leaderboard.
  23. Just owning millions of something is amusing.
