  1. Not sure Bryson would agree. +4 right now.
  2. That’s crazy talk. The US Open is on NBC and it’s live since their in California. I love watching Bryson struggle.
  3. I think it flows through. I don’t ever empty it.
  4. My wife got me this one for Christmas. Ambient WS-7078 It was easy to set up and seems to be pretty accurate. I like the console and the app. I've linked it to Wunderground The only issue I've had is that there was a random 2" of rain recorded one night a few weeks ago. I know it didn't rain that much, if at all. It's almost like a bird or squirrel took a big leak over the rain gauge. I've kept an eye on it and haven't noticed any other anomalies like that.
  5. Montreal has always felt much bigger to me. Your statement got me wondering so I checked. There are some big suburbs around Montreal. The city itself has a population of something like 1.7 million while the metro area is 4 million. I’ve really only been in the south shore suburbs like Longueuil, it’s population is 240,000 while Laval, north of the city has a population of 422,000.
  6. I have the same picture except the thermo only reads 119°
  7. I was just complaining about not getting all that much when a rogue cell popped up. Up to .33" on the day and over a half inch for the week
  8. Just scored .06" and am up to .25" for the week. Drought is over baby!
  9. Better than the .18" I've had
  10. The should be lifting themselves up by their bootstraps!
  11. Really? Have you ever tried to make a change at an airline ticket counter or called some customer service lines?
  12. When I read the recaps you've been posting and I come across mentions of 2015-16, I immediately break out into a cold sweat and start to shake violently. I think I'll suffer PTSD from that winter forever.
  13. A couple of years ago I was in Death Valley when it was 119°. Near the National Park visitor center is a golf course. Nobody was on the course lol.
  14. I don't have much to worry about for lawn, don't have a garden and am not connected to a golf course anymore so I'm not overly concerned but it has been bone dry around here. .18 today but it has remained cloudy and cool, it's currently 61.8°. This is ideal summer weather for @ineedsnow but it sucks for us surface dwellers. Edit to add: MPV was -1.82" in May and so far in June is -1.46". Pretty soon this is what the road up to PF land will look like
  15. Just checked this out. Definitely going to download a couple of the tours. Thank you again
  16. We open! https://vtdigger.org/2021/06/14/vermont-reopens-scott-lifts-restrictions-as-state-reaches-80-vaccination-goal/
  17. Basking in the .18 of rain we've received overnight. That barely settles the dust.
  18. Got out to play some golf this evening up in Essex. This is looking east from the fairway of the 18th at Essex Country Club.
  19. We went and visited a friend who is camping at the state park a mile or two away on a different pond. While we are there we heard loons calling out. I walked down to the water and there was a pair of loons in the water yelling at a bald eagle that was swooping at the water around them. I assume they were all trying to fish. I tried taking a picture but they were a bit too far out to really capture. One of the coolest nature things I’ve witnessed.
  20. Beautiful beach at the campground I’m at in Island Pond.
  21. Not a pitcher but remember when Chuck Knoblauch seemingly forgot how to throw a baseball? https://www.thecoldwire.com/what-happened-to-chuck-knoblauch/
  22. I said that for years. Finally after years of telling my wife and son I’d be happy with any presents they got me for Christmas, i told them I wanted a weather station. It’s a cheap-o Ambient but it works ok for my limited needs.
  23. Up in Island Pond camping for the weekend. Turned into a beautiful night. Blue skies as the sun sets and down to 56° already.
