  1. Yeah I forget just how high up that K1 base lodge is. The new one looks awesome.
  2. 3,000 verts this time of year is impressive. I thought it was good we were going with 2,100 verts, wow. You can tell how much snow Killington puts into the World Cup as they will still be downloading despite a base elevation of 2,000ft there and many “lesser” snowmaking hills offering top-to-bottom.
  3. Winter vibe this evening on the eve of opening day.
  4. Yesterday the westerly flow streamers dropped about 5” up high and 2-3” down low. Today the SW flow is aimed too far north. We’ve seen snow showers but nothing of note today. Dumping just north of here.
  5. Occasional graupel and snow showers today but no additional accumulation. Wintry appeal though.
  6. Awesome dude! I have to ask, why not put the cars in the garage? Though I might’ve left them out just to see them get buried .
  7. True wintry appeal Currier and Ives type afternoon and evening. Just a persistent -SN floating down. A quarter inch per hour generally, where 8 hours gets you a couple inches. Some better bursts down to 1/2 mile and others flurries at 7-9 miles… but mostly 1-3 mile vis periods of snow. On top of yesterday’s heavy wet stuff, the colder snow is looking pretty festive out there winter-wise. Not deep winter but snow-on-snow, snowy trees, roads, etc. Crazy the turn around from 70s and record highs to winter. Pretty much how you draw it up to avoid days and days of 40s and mank.
  8. Those things love Bennington County. Prime westerly flow streamer country. Same with convection, ha.
  9. 3” today at the hill and looks like 1.5” on the back porch that wasn’t there this morning. Fluffy fake snow, great snow growth. Looks fantastic clinging to the wet snow from yesterday.
  10. Just absolutely dumping at the mountain. Picked up a quick 3" of fluff. In the 9-10" range now since the synoptic storm began.
  11. Everyone's favorite time of year... lake effect streamers and upslope. Pounding dendrites in these bands. Picked up about 2" of fluff on the mountain in about the last 3-4hours? This one's streaming nicely into town too.
  12. Snow on the ground, -SHSN in the flood lights… winter.
  13. J- They are from the Weather Hazard Briefing page on the NWS BTV site. Just toggle over to the winter tab and they have a variety of products in there. https://www.weather.gov/btv/EMBriefing
  14. As usual a blend, lol. GGEM and Euro had the axis correct but were too wet. GFS was too far south but had the lighter QPF right. The snow maps as expected proved too high as I think it was under 10:1 ratios. My yard feels like 6-7:1 wet, ha.
  15. 3000ft… 6” 1500ft… 5.5” 750ft… 4.0” (likely higher when snow stopped but measure when you can. It’s a very soaking wet 4” left at home.) Heres the 1500ft stack after some melting. Might’ve gotten 6” if measured earlier but still a very wet dense slug of snow. Had to think there was some good QPF in this. Im convinced it was a pretty widespread 6” snowfall locally (same QPF) had temps been colder but what’s on the ground is a a reflection of above freezing temps this afternoon. So nice to have everything covered white again. Good Advisory level snowfall.

  17. Paid radar scope on phone… like 10 bucks a year.
  18. Had about 2.5”-3” when I left home 60-90 minutes ago. Probably in the 3-4” range now. Base of mountain is 4”.
  19. Base of mountain is around 4”. I think generally 3-4” around Stowe right now? I saw about 6” on the Mansfield Stake, so 5” from this up top.
  20. 00z GFS highlighting the central/northern Greens through Thursday. Lower ratios than this will lower amounts but it'll be a nice period of wintery appeal.
  21. That’s the goal this time of year. Nice WAA burst over cold type of event for interior SNE even if it melts later on. Just to have that winter scene. A sign of things to come.
