  1. BOS at 90/47 !? Good grief. 23% RH. Turning into a desert. When was the last 90/47 type day in the dog days of mid-August? Some years you can't get a dew below 65F for weeks this time of year.
  2. 82/52 Absolute Top 10 Summer Day. So many this year. Boring but nice.
  3. Sorry Jerry. Dogs deserve to live forever.
  4. Cold season type system this last one. Still pinwheeling moisture back south. Not much QPF but reminds me of the day after a winter storm when it’s just funneling moisture back into NNE on NW flow. A lot of virga earlier today, saw a few rainbows.
  5. Still one of my favorite winters. 160” in town and 330” mountain. Best mix of synoptic and upslope since I’ve been up here. Everyone got hammered at some point that winter. Would sign up immediately.
  6. Yeah can see that just north of you. CT-TL-33: Tolland 3.6 NNE is about the same as my local CoCoRAHS for past 6 weeks. Wild how hit or miss it is.
  7. I don't know what you've had specifically, there are a couple stations just north of you that are about the same as up here. But given the small convective footprints it's hard to tell.
  8. In all honesty, looking at the last 45 days... Ginxy, Scooter and SouthCoast dude, good grief. Those three take the cake.
  9. Wish we could’ve stole some of your rainfall in August. Rivers would probably be a little higher.
  10. And then a rogue pencil thin deform band gets only you for 14” on March 20th that melted two days later and the whole forum is telling you your winter was fine now and you will not stand for that. That’s what a 1.5-2.0” thunderstorm is right now.
  11. Haha, People have gotten real defensive over their drought… you almost wonder if folks wish they didn’t get some downpours so the numbers look “cleaner.” I also don’t get the “but it was convective and happened fast so throw it out.” That’s how summer precip is.
  12. CON over 0.70” so far. Really blew up over NNE. N.NH got crushed. BML at ~1.40” and going strong.
  13. That’s impressive. 17 days into a warm season month in our warm/hot summer humid continental climate zone. When at least marginal rains have been around.
  14. You guys are doing ok in August, you can admit it. Nothing wrong with that, doesn’t diminish the dry June/July. Im just busting your balls to chirp back . Can’t imagine the areas around you that didn’t get that 1.5-2.0” rainer that day.
  15. Yeah most areas have been bad looking through the SNE numbers now on Cocorahs and wunderground PWS. But Taunton this month is a little relative oasis it looks like. I see why DIT has been harping them lol.
  16. How much rain have you had in August? I’ve had 1.28”. Local Cocorahs barely 1”. TAN ASOS is at 1.64” barely below the normal to date of 1.82”. You guys are hilarious, I think the entire Taunton crew has had more rain than most of VT in August.
  17. Wow, good storm in downtown Albany the past hour or two. Only 30mph gusts at KALB but yikes… “shit storm” downtown at the state offices. This looks pretty legit. Probably enhanced by the buildings. https://www.instagram.com/reel/ChYC_E2Ji5B/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= https://www.instagram.com/reel/ChYC_E2Ji5B/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  18. We will, no doubt about it. I’m standing there almost laughing at how soaked I just got knowing people are begging for it to rain… and I can’t even walk my dog without looking like I fell in the river with my clothes on. Before I left with the dog, my wife asked if it was going to rain, nope I said. So walk back inside soaked her first words are “I don’t know why people ask you about weather, you’re obviously not very good at this…”
  19. Have to laugh, gotta share. I don’t think it’s even raining at my place but these fields are now getting drenched. Daily watering. Cell came out of no where.
  20. We are running pretty healthy departures I think, not exactly sure to be honest. But solidly below normal. But it’s like a crappy winter where everyone is below normal snow but the all-time ratter crowd doesn’t want to hear from the crew that’s only 40% below normal lol. Ill look tonight once home. As I’ve said, I think the vegetation vastly enjoys frequency over quantity. If you can do four different days of 0.50” spread out over 10 days is much better than 2.00” in an hour one day and 0” the other 9 days. Similar to why snow conditions are better if you rattle off frequent 3-6” snowfalls every 2-3 days instead of one 24” event and then nothing for two weeks. Big event is more exciting but daily skiing is better with refreshes over all at once.
  21. I added some contrast for the sky in that one but here’s Rec Fields straight out of the phone. Soccer and softball fields are in fantastic shape.
  22. Cloudy, no rain. 75/55. Dog days of August?
  23. Been out of the loop this morning, looks like Stein has kept everyone locked in the basement?
