  3. 1964 set a record low mid month of 48 degrees...broke the record of 49 in 1961...1967 set a new record for that date with a 47 degree morning...record lows in the 1960's were numerous...
  4. if a weak el nino develops the farmers almanac will be right...if a strong el nino develops the old farmers almanac will be right...if a neutral winter develops they both will be wrong...the current streak of winters with at least 30" of snow and a 9" snowfall is five...six with a 9 inch or more...does the streak continue of break?...in August I'm always on the cold and snowy train until reality hits...the reality could be another above normal snow season with normal temperatures...

I'd like to see a cold and snowy second half of December with at least a 6" snowfall before Christmas and on the ground Christmas morning...there have not been many Decembers like that lately or over the last 100 years......these Decembers fit this criteria... 1959... 1961... 1963... 1966... 1995... 2009... .................................... 1960...big snow to soon...I'll take though... 2000...big snow to late...ditto... 2010...big snow just late...ditto...
