  1. It looks like most of the 90 degree temps yesterday across Chester County were in the lower spots under 500 ft ASL. Muggy today with some showers and thunderstorms possible late this afternoon into tonight. Tomorrow looks like the driest day of the weekend before rain chances increase again for Sunday. Records for today: High 100 (1954) / Low 51 (1904) / Rain 2.98" (1928)
  2. 4. Yesterday was our 3rd straight slightly cooler than normal day...but temps the next 2 days should rise to above normal levels. We may even see a couple lower spots in the county hit 90 degrees. Some of the higher elevation spots have still yet to see a 90 degree day this summer. Philadelphia will today see their 7th such day. Rain chances increase by tomorrow night and at least a 50% chance of showers through much of the upcoming weekend. Records for today: High 96 (1936) / Low 48 (1945) / Rain 3.58" (2004)

  6. It looks like a couple slightly above normal temp days are on tap for the area over the next couple of days. However, 90 degree plus temps look to yet again miss most of Chester County. Later tomorrow the weather looks to get a bit unsettled again with a good chance of showers and t-storms by Thursday night and chances continue through much of the upcoming weekend. Records for today: High 99 (1936) / Low 45 (1898) / Rain 2.09" (2009)

  8. 2.13" of rain so far here today in East Nantmeal Township setting a new daily rainfall record breaking the old record of 2.00" set back in 1935.
  9. Could be a pretty stormy PM across much of the area. Hopefully spots that have already seen more than 5" of rain will not be as hard hit today. Rain should arrive in Chester County after 11am and be east of the county by no later than 7pm this evening. The daily rain record for today set back in 1935 could be in jeopardy today. Records for today: High 103 degrees (1936) / Low 48 degrees (1984) / Rain 2.00" (1935)

  11. Another warm one out there today after yesterday peaking again in the upper 80's we should see temps a little cooler today but still very humid. Rain chances will be there almost anytime through Sunday night. Best chances will be later today and again Sunday. While Southern Chester County has been wet of late....here in Northern and Western Chesco we have yet to see any measurable rain here in July! Records for today: High 98 degrees (1900) / Low 49 (1940) / Rain 2.23" (1907)

  13. Yesterday many spots across Chester County saw their 2nd 90+ day of the year...some higher spots like here in East Nantmeal failed yet again to touch 90 but it was our 2nd warmest day of the year near 88 degrees. Another warm one today with similar temps to yesterday. Shower chances will be on the increase by later tomorrow through Monday morning. Some models have 2" to 3" of rain over parts of the area by Monday PM. Records for today: High 100 (1900) / Low 48 (1980) / Rain 2.36" (1958)

  16. Some spots across Southern Chester County saw over 2" of rain last night...while folks in the Northern parts saw nothing. There is a chance of more hit and miss storms later today so maybe some of the Northern folks can cash in today. Cooler today before both Wednesday and Thursday see temps in the upper 80's. Rain chances return by the weekend. Records for today: High 101 (1919) / Low 45 (1986) / Rain 1.89" (2019)

  18. Sea breeze front passed through Sea Isle City during the past hour - our temps have dropped from 92.5 to now 80.2 in 20 minutes
  19. It looks like some spots across Southern Chester County picked up some rain earlier this AM. Up here in East Nantmeal nothing so far. There will continue to be a slight chance of some pop up storms today with a better shot by tomorrow evening. Wednesday and Thursday we look to warm into the upper 80's both days. In looking ahead they look to be the warmest days through at least July 19th. A climate note of interest - here in East Nantmeal I have now not recorded a 90 degree or higher reading in more than 2 years. The last above 90 degree day was on June 30th, 2021. I did record one day last summer on July 23rd that reached 89.7 - so we round that up and call it a 90 degree day. I know many spots in the county especially southern and lower spots did reach the 90 degree mark back on June 2nd - however we could do no higher than 88.8 here in East Nantmeal. Records for today: High 102 (1966) / Low 47 (1929) / Rain 3.19" (1978)

  23. Through yesterday this is now the coldest June in Chester County since way back in 1974. More impressive is not counting today (which should be a rare above average day) this is the 7th coldest June in 130 years of local weather records! We should finish out the month with some hazy sun (thanks Canada) and temps in the low 80's today. A little cooler tomorrow to start out July and then rain chances increase by Saturday night. Records for today: High 98 (1959) / Low 47 (1919) / Rain 2.29" (1921)
  24. I briefly worked there when my company JNJ/Centocor moved there...
