I don't have any ill will or frustration, it's been clear for days. What does bother me are the posts that try to make things a little more rosy than they are, only to have people complain when it doesn't work out. There is no doubt some push back from people who don't like the hear all positive posts all the time. On the bright side, if it's mild I can continue to hang outside and see people who I haven't seen in awhile. I don't disguise anything, but it is frustrating when people choose to ignore reality and find their winter pacifier to hang onto. But that's fine, if people are happier that way, so be it.

I mean more lakes region, and some ice isn't exactly driving much excitement. It's too bad the lakes and snow pack got wiped out. Oh well. Maybe Feb vacation.

You guys have a shot of some sort of wintry mix, especially on the front end. JMHO, but not much hope here. Hopefully I'm wrong. I don't buy the GFS and the ability to get good cold in here prior to precip.

Still shitty for the ski areas and snow mobile trails up there. We need a real good blitz and then 2 days of upslope to really build that base.

The PAC jet is active thanks to more Nina phases of the MJO. It's possible this becomes more favorable, but it will take 2+ weeks I think, and that may only be temporary. My personal opinion is that we need the Atlantic to really help. I think the Pacific overall will not be favorable for awhile.

Unfortunately the GEFS are pretty bad as far as skill goes.
