Yeah. Soundings looked tough to mix the big stuff despite everyone losing their undies to the 850mb winds.

EPS was ok I thought. Just not as good as previous runs with the block a little more SE of where I prefer. We’ll see.

I’ve been to a couple of outdoor (in garage) settings for the holidays. Works out when it’s warm.

Looks like although a few areas had decent gusts, nothing really obscene. Mixing so far keeping uber winds upstairs aside from scattered areas.

Temp down to 50 here in Marshfield. White Christmas Eve at least to play in. I included the CJ shed for Ray where we take him in every now and then for a good beating.

I was in Dorchester in Feb ‘13 and it came darn close. That was deep. I think I had like 28.5” or so iirc but it just gets so tough when you have wind. Everything was wind blown except for a few spots, but that was a doozy there.

And that weird crescent shape low wind area is the hrrr analysis of snowpack I think. Probably over analyzing as that snow is gonzo inside 495 tonight.

This is not Isis. That was a tropical system. This is just a synoptic event. It’s going to be fairly widespread. Best gusts just inland from south coast I think. Might even have some weak daytime heating by a degree or two further east.

HRRR has some weird artifacts with that map. Should be more smooth-like not some mysterious low pocket of winds near BOS.
