  1. Oh man, look at that.Makes me think of Phil
  2. Not sure yet.CFS is parking the signal into the Maritime and Euro seemingly, that should possibly be severe leading into or around Met spring.
  3. Rossby wave is going to work its way into the IO the next few days and a Kelvin Wave coming off Africa during the same period, plus you have a TC,MJO signal could and should get stronger into the IO
  4. If they would fix North America, you wouldnt have to spend no more money, thats alot of charts they put out
  5. ECMWF added stuff also, but some plots dont seem to update well in North America https://apps.ecmwf.int/webapps/opencharts
  6. Its still cooling in the west and warming in east so a transition is on going
  7. ill be in knoxville for my sons gymnastics meet Sat.,so let it happen
  8. yeah i watch the radar in Mid Tn where we have barely anything it starts to explode as you get to the Cumberland,i believe that
  9. Clippers are what they are here, they clip us,sometimes we get lucky and get a inch but they seem to do better once they start hitting the upslopes
  10. coming off the lakes, could enhance it,could be more than showing
  11. That looks like a long wave trough and a clipper on the back side
  12. Got no complaints still about this winter,we can do good in Mid Tn during a moderate Nina or it can suck. This year was good,i know Nashville says they got just under 10",we are still around a foot and a half here plus some nicks and dimes.Definite the best snow we have gotten here since the snow dome effect came in place
  13. Euro has a GREAT AO look but the PNA blows
  14. Some of the anoms are acting like 2011 just a few weeks ahead ,.If the CFS is right It shows the MJO start to strenghten into the IO/Maritime and possibly a stronger signal into the WP.Either way, possibly a time to keep a eye out into the start of Met spring right now
  15. You can't fire someone without proof they did anything.Pearl suspended Person when he found out, then later fired him.Everyone cheats in the NCAA,its just the matter of not getting caught. Now players get paid anyways.I'm surprised more players opt out early now from college, shoot you could seemingly retire after 4 or 5 years and still get a degree for a few big name players
  16. We should be looking at another possible change in the pattern around wk.2 of Feb.,just need the teleconnections to work out.Heights dropping in Eadt China,Korea and Japan usually mean a east trough
  17. Hand me a dart please, think i have a better chance to figure this out
  18. Winter time you guys in the East want a -NAO,this helps keep the LP suppressed,we want cutters cutting through Birmingham to Montgomery. We dont get snow from LP towards the gulf coast but Southern Md Tn into East Tn can,its very rare when you see this around Nashville getting anything with a storm suppressed all the way to the gulf states..jmo
  19. My son and his college buds are camping out at the ticket line tonight for the KY and Aub game tomorrow, they let the first 300 students get in free for the game, brave souls and dedication to freeze your ass off, suppose to get down to 29 tonight
  20. Dunno,it dont work out all the time but i thought we'd see more ridging than cold.Heights rising in East Asia,+NAO/-pna although they arent really tightly clustered tho, crud EPO equals warm not cold, this would be towards the end of the month
  21. Yeah i agree with Carver.Plus you got a +NAO.But man looks like we have a nice AO upcoming, just need the PNA to work with it,if it does we could possibly get pipe busting cold into wk2 of FEB
  22. GEFS shows the height rise in East Asia which could warm us up briefly but watch the back end, that patten don't last very long Edit:Ackkk, that was the GFS.GEFS still breaks it down,we shall see, just need to Euro to start showing this in a few days
  23. CFS has been showing convection into the IO towards the end of the month..Today if went *POOF* Now you see me, now you don't
