I ended up with .8 total. It rained hard but nothing like a few minutes north of here. Brewster is at least a half inch higher and as Julian said it keeps going up as you go further north. My daughter said the ride home from work in Danbury was scary with trees and branches down and inches of water on the road.

76>65 spread today, 71 now. I'm not appreciating the smoke. It's dry, I could use some rain.

Some of the deep summer green is fading especially in the lower levels of the the ground growth, there's also a lot more lower pine tree die-off than before. I'll be up in the Daks next week so I'm betting I'll see a bit up there.

I did a day at Montauk last week, ended up at Robert Moses today. Looking at Smith Point next week. Boy, you couldn't have ordered a nicer week to be out there.

Well that was a dud. I did get some pretty good wind, brought a good sized branch down in the front yard. I barely got any rain though, .01.

Clouds are back and the wind is up, temp is down 5° and dp is down 11°. Storms are on the way.

The AQI is mid 50s to 60s here today. It got grey a little while ago when the clouds broke up. Hopefully the wind moves it out soon. Popped 90° here on the hill, still 86-88 and climbing around most of town.

IMO, We just finished up our ~20 year snowy transition period a few years ago. Unless this AMOC shutdown happens we're pretty much done with winter outside of isolated periods.
