159 in Holtsville & 130 in Eisenhower Park at 5pm!
-
	Actual clouds this time around.
-
I question how accurate the number since it has Great Neck to Syosset, all with that same number. Most likely not enough monitoring stations on LI to be more accurate. Only 1 in Nassau & 1 in Suffolk. We can all tell from our nose though & the brighter sun that today is much better than the last 24 hrs. Hopefully the trend continues after the next brief round of smoke later this evening & tonight per the HRRR.
-
HRRR has one last shot around 7pm until midnight but not sure it’ll get to surface. After that appears Friday gets better compared to what we have been going through.
-
Yankees I get but the Barclays is full of smoke is weird. Someone didn't put the A/C to recirculate?
-
Just crazy. They have a ground delay due to that at EWR. LGA has a ground stop currently.
-
Same in Great Neck, I can smell it my office.
-
Pea size hail at my house & .42 of rain.
-
My house is about to take a direct hit from that cell in Oyster Bay & Cove Neck moving S.
-
Wow, my house only drops about 2-3 degrees overnight from 70 to 67 with the cool morning lows. Kids sleep well when it occurs, as do I. 54 is a little extreme, that would call for heat & insulation check on the house, haha.
-
You have the heat on? Haha How cold does the house get? 50 in Syosset & 49 in Muttontown this morning. 2nd day of 40s in Muttontown.
-
Heaviest about over for Nassau/Suffolk border on West by 7pm or so. So far 2.30” in Syosset.
-
My son’s game is at 3pm. I’m sure they’ll call the games for tomorrow early in the morning. SLL already postponed the all star game that was scheduled for tomorrow.
-
TJFK is better for those in range of it compared to DIX. Radar beam at higher levels on LI from DIX, so returns look heavier than reality.
-
This isn’t going to get us warmth, that’s for sure.
-
The radar is having a generator replaced on it. Down for a week. There’s a notice when you go to their page.
-
2.22” in Syosset & 1.98” in Muttontown. Much needed rainfall.

	PDO from 1854 here: https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/pub/data/cmb/ersst/v5/index/ersst.v5.pdo.dat

	42 w/sleet in Syosset

Great Neck is bare as can be. From what I see on the cameras at my house the dusting I had earlier is gone once the precip lightened up.
-

Band is moving too quick for my liking, maybe a dusting.
