Managed to pick up 0.04 from miscellaneous sprinkles throughout the day. High of 79f

High of 78f here today. DP down to 60. No complaints.

(Add'l Canaan Valley) Well I found this from a 1996 FWS report... "The growing (frost free) season averages about 90 days in length. The average date of the last freeze is June 1 and the average date of the first frost is August 30. Frost can occur on the Valley floor during any month. On the average, one out of six Julys will experience a temperature of freezing or below. The growing season is too short for most-crops and is about the same as Fairbanks, Alaska." I think this was written before the VaTech station was installed, but not sure. It doesn't appear to mention first freeze either. Does that mean First Freeze on Aug 19? Seems early, but I haven't much looked in to it. Low of 56 here .

Just returned from Davidsonville...Rte 214 (Central Av) is closed. BGE on scene. Plenty of tree damage between here and there. Got lucky on our end if the street.

Strong gusts, torrential rain, t&l here in Gambrills, Crofton. Our strongest T- storm of the season, but no hail so far. Power still on, but flickering

Hard to believe almost. And coldest Feb at BWI since 1934, which was the only Feb colder. (Even 1979)

Rather ordinary T-storm striking Annapolis. Pretty good rain; average thunder.

Both May and June were below normal. At KNAK, only 2 days in July (all summer too) hit 90 so far. Running a bit above normal (0.5 so far). So, here in AACo, it seems cool at first, and now normal, but I think the jury is still out until Aug/Sept happens. Other than the dry Westminster+ area, we don't have much to complain about yet.
