we had new gravel put down middle of Nov. Plow guy tried to be careful, but most of the new gravel is now along the side of the road. will fix in Spring.

I'd take a 2-4" clipper at this point just to whiten it up around here. Driving down our gravel road this morning with dust flying everywhere. reminds me of dry summer. 17.1f

pretty much agree. this is the time to build the pack, especially with the cold we've got. Need to capitalize on it, but we're not. It's frustrating for sure to sail 2 more wks with possibly no accumulating snow, then start talking about how the pattern will change, then we're on the doorstep of Feb. Winters are widdled down to ~6wks last few years

for sure. when we go to jackman we ride almost all off-trail/logging roads. Try to avoid ITS as much as possible

Looks like Pittston Farms opens tomorrow, but with a limited base not sure how good the trails will be, but they need to run a business and I can understand opening even if the terrain is limited. Not seeing anything open around Rockwood, Forks, etc, so probably only direction to ride will be towards Jackman and vice versa. Guy that owns Spruce Meadow cabins in Jackman says a lot of trees down. I'm sure it'll be a mob scene anyways.

will check also, but hate to cut the drywall. Maybe I can remove the fixture side just enough to take a peak.

Bummer, wife send me a pic of water dripping from our ceiling. This happened about 1.5yrs ago and it ended up being the shower/tub drain putty upstairs had lost it's seal. We haven't used the shower in 1.5wks and she said she noticed the drip after flushing the toilet. Pretty sure it's not the wax toilet ring as I'd expect there to be water around the toilet, so thinking it must be the water supply probably leaking at one of the pex crimp connections in the ceiling. Looks like I'm going to have to start removing the pine ceiling panels to investigate. PITA.

how confident are you in this, given the current pattern was supposed to be prolific

if the pattern goes to warm and wet after the 15th, there's going to be a lot of bridge jumpers. Gonna be hard to look back in a couple wks and say the best we had was TDay through 1st week of Dec or so. I like the cold, but if it's going to to suppress the storm potential, then not so much. Looking like another short sledding season.
