  1. 40.3f. if this puts us at avg for seasonal snow, a pig is still a pig of a winter
  2. All rain please. Don't need to pay the plow guy again for something that melts the next day
  3. Is now a good time to put down some Grub-Ex or should I wait a while? Also, I want to put down some treatment for chinch bugs which I believe destroyed our lawn last summer. Is it better (and more environmentally friendly) to apply a combo product or should I apply 2 different stand-alone treatments?
  4. yep, useless for me. I'm not snowblowing anything. Be awesome skiing for those that hike.
  5. The latter isn't happening much lately, so bring the snow I guess
  6. Weekend ended up better than expected. Partly sunny both days, mid 50s.
  7. Given how much of our lawn got wiped out last season and mostly dead, I'm skipping the fertilizer for the most part. I will put some grub control down in the good spots.
  8. 56" for our house. I predicted 62" in Jan, so not far off. What a crappy winter accept for northern areas. I can't believe we may sail through this month without one storm >1"
  9. Sucks, wish we could have cashed in on something other than rn out of that storm.
  10. Skied Sunday River yesterday. Mob scene there. Sunny skies made it nice, but a lot of trails were boilerplate with large swaths of ice. Some recent snowmaking efforts got scraped off fast. None of the woods trails are even open. We need snow bad.
  11. Fingers crossed. If something white doesn't materialize in some winter fashion by mid month, then I say torch it and bring on spring
  12. Have fun riding this weekend. You won't be disappointed
  13. Hillside living sucks for snow retention, although I am surprised we didn't get wiped clean. Woods are still mostly intact with 3-4". Break out the box of tissues for the snow stake. 18"????
  14. then why not fall back to the lower res modeling as it seems it has better accuracy for predicting where/how much an event will produce. Do we have too much data at our fingertips that it ends up hurting us?
  15. thanks. makes sense to the extent I can understand your explanation.
  16. Can you explain this? Seems counter intuitive. If there is greater detail, shouldn't there be less variability?
