  1. Maybe he confused you with Rtd208
  2. Here's to hoping we see a change. I'm overtired from the same people cancelling winter nearly every day in the main thread.
  3. UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab is now at 204% of average precipitation for their water year. Snowfall for this past week: 24 hours: 21.5" 48 hours: 42.7" 7-day: 90.7"
  4. Lloyd Lindsey Young>Lee Goldberg
  5. 55 at KSWF and 43 at KMGJ which is about 7 miles west and 128 feet lower in elevation. Wonder if this inversion will break in my neck of the woods. 43 IMBY with .43 since the yesterday.
  6. I was driving but didn’t notice thunder.
  7. Pretty impressive lightning out there and thunder snow is much preferred in January rather than a regular thunderstorm. Just saying.
  8. Agreed but how can you still be surprised by a snowstorm?
  9. Gotta love people who have thrown in the towel and only want to be surprised by a snowstorm now and yet they are still here everyday. You can't make this stuff up.
  10. I had a trace this morning and drove through a sleet shower on the way to work just before 8am, temp was 33 at home and still is.
  11. Not worth calculating. LOL. Around 7, I'll have to look later.
  12. If I didn’t get ‘crushed’ by that 5” in December (shut up Bx) I’d definitely be posing STFU (Striving Towards FUtility) comments by now. I got to witness a nice snowy weekend in South Bend back in November too, so I have that going for me.
  13. Yup, first stogies of the new year enjoyed while basking in the sunshine earlier.
  14. The UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab near Soda Springs recorded 7.5" between 4pm-5pm yesterday. That's impressive for even up there.
  15. Happy New Year! .27 through the tipper last night along with the fog, which didn’t appear to be as bad here as in other areas. 44/42 currently with sunshine peaking through on the horizon. It was nice to see the annual pick up ice hockey games here in the park this past week, will be a bit before I see that again.
  16. I think it was one of the second due companies last night that said they had 5 to 6 feet on their apron. I'm pretty sure it was on the Gettin' Salty podcast they had a guest from Buffalo on one week and he mentioned a job maybe during the 77 storm when no one could get down the street from either side and the fire was in the middle of the block. They had to stretch through waist deep snow from each end of the block.
  17. @BxEngine did you see this last night? NYC Fire Wire shared it too. Gotta love the armchair quarterbacks asking why the apron wasn't plowed and salted. Clearly no frame of reference to the conditions that area has been enduring this weekend. There's more info in the comments like a truck company following a front end loader trying to get to the scene until the loader got stuck!
  18. Merry Christmas one and all! It's amazing how much warm 19 degrees right now feels today.
