It’s been a while, I think, since we’ve had a powdery snow like this. I was completely blinded a couple times by on coming vehicles, I forgot what that was like LOL

The urge to do a yard cleanup becomes stronger each day. Absurd.

Ice, yay…

Back in the days of yore we would get a “thaw” for maybe a few days but nothing this warm for weeks on end.

A little squally line of showers moving through, overperformed a bit here but that's not saying much.

Time to hoist the STFu flag again for me. After an OK December I hadn't really paid attention but I believe my seasonal total is at 10.2" (I can confirm at home). 12.1" from '15-'16 is my record low snowfall. This season has a fighting chance to set the new record IMO.

Good morning. I have not had the opportunity to experience a horse drawn sleigh ride. I do know though that back in those days many towns had snow rollers that packed the snow down. Here’s a link that gives you more details: https://mwvvibe.com/white-mountain-snow-rollers/ I also recall learning during a visit to the Vermont Covered Bridge Museum in Bennington that during this period they would shovel snow into covered bridges. This served two purposes, it made for a better sleigh ride but more importantly it protect3d the floor boards of the bridge from ruts and damage done by the runners.

I tried it once and quickly realized it wasn’t for me. I’m trying to remember how I got back into safari. I think I had to not use my shortcut but open safari and search the board out and sign into it again. Up to 23 here now.

Agreed, it's potent for sure. I'm out this morning, various trees and branches down. We kept power fortunately.
