  1. If I recall correctly, the humidity sensor is what went on the old station too but only after several years of solid performance, just replacing the batteries as needed.
  2. I got my first Davis, the old Weather Monitor II, in the mid to late 90’s and the replaced that with the Vue in 2011 I believe. Neither one of those disappointed me, solid units that were calibrated well. The only issue that I had with the Vue is the radiation shield, a few days a year, under certain conditions, the temp would run high.
  3. The outdoor humidity sensor on my Davis Vue is on the fritz...this is the excuse I’ve been looking for for years now. My kids are off on their own now....Pro 2 here I come sometime before winter certainly.
  4. Cracked soil, clouds of dust and pollen while mowing the sunny spots of the yard... dry begets dry...
  5. Each pass down my driveway adds another layer of dust to the vehicle.
  6. I'm pretty sure it was a plug in electric but it was over 20 years ago I don't recall exactly.
  7. I used something similar to the link below many years ago now, it worked good, probably too good because I got too aggressive with it and things got kind of exciting when one of those arms broke off. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rino-Tuff-Push-N-Load-3-Blade-Universal-Trimmer-Head-16234/100671846?cm_mmc=Shopping|G|Base|D28I|28-32_PORTABLE|NA|LIA|Fixed|71700000041074954|58700004788398043|92700040946149284&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3syS2c3N4gIVjsDICh2hOwxdEAkYDyABEgKqU_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  8. Agreed, they will eat anything and everything, long legged rats they are!
  9. This rain, yet again, is infringing on my right to party #RageIn19
  10. I don’t have the Ryobi but have the Black and Decker 40v trimmer, blower, chainsaw. I love the trimmer, light weight, can control the amount of power you’re using which is handy since trimming after mowing doesn’t require much power but if I go trim some tall grass along the wood line I can crank up the power to get it done. The blower is ok for grass trimmings and light leaves but you’re not doing the yard in October with it. The chainsaw has come in handy many times over the past couple of years. My old man had a Kobalt trimmer, what a clunker, heavy and not balanced well but that blower is a bit better than mine.
  11. 41.0” total here, 42.2” is the long term average here with my running average since moving here at 47.3”. Biggest storm was indeed November for me too, 11.5”.
  12. Two more trees down within a half mile of home and lawn covered in small branches, twigs, leaves, now cleaned up from yesterday’s storm. I’m amazed there’s any branches left on the trees around here with the mess left after nearly every wind event/storm.
  13. A decent amount of wind with that storm earlier, twigs and small branches all over the yard yet again, .36” . 1) College football 2) NFL football 3) NASCAR/Hockey 4) The Masters 5) Winter Olympic sports 6) Everything else 7) NBA
  14. Yah, I’d skip the willow too for the reasons stated
  15. I’d argue it’s all the beer drinking...
  16. I may give one a shot this fall, my concern was strength.
  17. So I’m guessing it’s safe to say that if it doesn’t leaf out at all this season it’s a goner? You, or anyone else, have thoughts on the hybrid Autumn Blaze Maple?
