Agreed, this summer overall has felt tame to me personally but that’s probably because last summer is still burned in my brain.

The dews were in the 50’s up here a few days ago.

A woman I work with got stuck under the training cells last night here in the OC, had a mini flash flood in her yard but they were able to stop the water before it made its way into the front door. I was just south of those cells and only picked up .24", KMGJ just to my north picked up .76", the mesonet further north in Wallkill picket up 1.86".

Everything from the rain dried out before yesterday evening but heavy heavy dew on everything at home this morning and dense fog at 64/64. Goshen was in the clear though.

I guess I’ve gotten used to it, it hasn’t felt too bad to me, which is shocking since I can tell once the dew rises above 60.

That's crazy. I must have weak yellow jackets or some other type of aggressive bee. The next time I need it I'll post a pic of the dead bee and maybe someone can identify what kind it is. My brother just borrowed it last week for a nest in his basketball hoop.

I've used Drione for years, an exterminator told me about it, you use a duster to apply it. Its worked great for me on the bastards, they carry the dust on themselves deep into the nest.

The skies have ripped open here in Goshen, torrential downpour.

KMGJ, just a couple miles north of me, picked up .19" yesterday in a passing storm, I got zilch.

It rare that I don’t get below at least 70 for a low although this last week was one of those times. That said, while it was hot, I don’t believe there were any record highs set here.

I must say though, after mocking the lack of rainfall totals there's been a heavy mist/light rain across parts of Orange County all morning which won't add up to inches of rain but certainly appears to be beneficial. It would be interesting to read a study on rainfall rates and the benefits to grasses and plants. What I'm getting at is this softer smaller drop rain is soaking in versus a 20 minutes deluge on rock hard ground with a lot of it running off.
