    Waking up to 34 degrees in the middle of January...

    The past couple of days has done it most of whatever snow I had left in the shady north facing spots, down to just piles now. I was surprised how long it held on considering temps are solidly above normal but the cloudy days helped...I guess they were good something...not really.

    Yes sir, view from my bedroom. Sure the weather is “boring” in that there is no snow but it was a beautiful sunrise, one has to take it all in and appreciate it.

    Yeah, mild is a relative, arbitrary, term. It’s easier, more accurate, to just say it’s solidly above normal.

    The numbers don’t lie. Maybe we should start using Real Feel temps for monthly averages...

    I was wrong about KPOU...they are actually 5.3 above normal for the month. Albany is +4.2.

    I still have snow on the ground here too from last week but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s been mild in comparison to normal.

    KPOU, through yesterday, is running 4.2 above normal.

    I changed it one day this week, damned if I recall when, like it matters. I change it as we move through the year and try to be whimsical at times but typically fail miserably.

    Glad we don’t live there... Full coverage here but blades of grass now showing under the trees. Agree though, my driveway is a mess, more like a late season snowfall.

    I forgot @Rjay moved, I’m only approx 3 miles further away from the Great Lawn in Central Park than he is now.

    I was just checking out the Winter Storm Warning in northern NH, it goes into effect at midnight. I can’t recall the last time we had a warning start at midnight.

    In @wdragwe trust to start a storm thread when he feels it is time. This isn’t like some no name weenie, who comes here only in winter, starting a thread based off of one 300 hour model run.
