I have not posted this Watch in my Newsletter. I believe it is a mostly dry run.

A severe storm with 45 mph winds 6:00 - 6:45 Friday evening. White out conditions with 2.75" rain in 45 minutes. Many trees down, my power was out 18.5 hours.

For the first time in 14 months, Virginia is drought free.

March and April were very dry last year and the same this year. May was slightly wetter than normal last year at 3.73" and well above the normal of 3.60" this year with 5.42". The GFS Extended and Euro Weeklies believe that June will be wet this year. Fingers crossed. 1.50" Friday thru Sunday noon was very nice.

The Nam 12 and 3 are too juicy for western areas with the returning warm front during the next 24 hrs.. They may be right but IMO , sludge...................

37.4 early this morning!! That is insane for June 2!!!!! Normals in my neck of the woods for this date are 77 and 56.

The SPC and NWS are off the wall over atmospherics that the models are wondering, whats all the excitement about??? I'm under a Flash Flood Watch and Tornado Watch. I will receive neither....................

The NWS has an 80% prob. of showers and storms before 11 pm. The convective activity in W.Va. is dying to the north as it approaches the state border. As usual, the NWS is mostly useless..........................................

The latest guidance takes the heaviest rain next week west of the B.R...............................

36.7 this morning. A 4m model blend for Monday - Thursday rainfall is now 2.38". That would be heavenly!!!
