  1. Even then, good luck-it worked in March/April b/c there was alot of unknown and fear. Different story this go around...
  2. Boy that will really curb the spread! Great idea there. LOL
  3. Not going to matter much-people are done with this and will still gather in homes etc. Putting restaurants at 50% from 75% will do little except hurt them even more
  4. The bands feed into the center of the storm-they're called "feeder bands" for that reason.
  5. Fast mover so the rains will be limited to a couple of inches.
  6. Carpooling makes sense-small enclosed environment. Everyone here is back to giving rides to people/other people's kids to games etc.
  7. The shortfalls in revenue from Covid may spur the legislature to act next budget season....
  8. The problem with CT is that gov't is slow to change ANYTHING despite obvious benefits/convenience. I remember a few years ago how Sunday liquor sales would lead to more drunks on the road, Keno Lottery coming to town was going to lead to more gambling addicts etc. We don't have early voting like other states and they are behind other states on making weed legal.... Property taxes are out of control here as are most taxes-until Covid came along many were fleeing the state due to the high cost of living...
  9. CDO is symmetrical and the eye is starting to clear out for sure
  10. yeah i'd have to wonder what that area of disturbed weather out ahead if it will do as to having an effect on the system?
  11. models locked in with that clip of the very NE tip of the Yucatan....
  12. here's a pic of gilbert, you're right-very compact. Went right into Cozumel as a 5
  13. Can't remember seeing a cloud mass like that out in front of a major hurricane (mostly leftovers from Gamma and an old front)
  14. anything's on the table now-it had a good environment in front of it the next 48 hrs outside of the brief trek over land.
  15. Moving fast though-won't be over land for more than 8-10 hrs at best and it's flat terrain as well.
  16. looks to pass NE of them so they would miss the eye/eyewall.
  17. what's the population like in that area? Thinking sparsely populated outside of cancun and cozumel....
  18. it's not really enforceable so it's ignored. COVID Fatigue also playing into it too...
  19. really the only winter event we have not experienced here over the last 20 yrs....would love to see a redux of this one someday
