    In some ways, when we get an 11-12 type winter it's actually enjoyable-there's no hope of anything so I just give up and get outside and enjoy the warmth and lower heating bills.

    A bitter close election that will be decided by less than 80K votes in 3 states-similar to 2016. Not exactly a mandate and likely 4 yrs of gridlock coming up with R's keeping Senate and Dems losing seats in house.

    I remember back in some of our really horrid winters (01-02 comes to mind) I had roses still blooming in December b/c we had not yet had a freeze

    Even then, good luck-it worked in March/April b/c there was alot of unknown and fear. Different story this go around...

    Not going to matter much-people are done with this and will still gather in homes etc. Putting restaurants at 50% from 75% will do little except hurt them even more

    Amen to that. Mine seemed to get triple the candy they have gotten in previous years. About the same amount of houses handing out, but maybe due to less kids they gave more to each kid?

    precip back to some very light rain here-looks like the end is approaching- about 3-4 hrs of white rain here but fun to see in October.

    yep, dry slot opening up too...the 2nd low that comes along late tonight will lead to a 2nd round of rain (And snow for some) but lighter amounts.
