  1. Carpooling makes sense-small enclosed environment. Everyone here is back to giving rides to people/other people's kids to games etc.
  2. Should be in Banter. Day 10 stuff and the GFS has a cold bias in the LR
  3. Dont remind me-I was living in Lansdale PA at the time-never saw a flake-forecast was for a foot or more with blizzard conditions-models were 75-100 miles too far west
  4. same exact situation here, had some drizzle/mist/low clouds. Drizzle seems to be ending now though
  5. The shortfalls in revenue from Covid may spur the legislature to act next budget season....
  6. For us, we'll need to see the SE ridge get beaten back and hope for some arctic blocking. Otherwise it's cutter city.
  7. The problem with CT is that gov't is slow to change ANYTHING despite obvious benefits/convenience. I remember a few years ago how Sunday liquor sales would lead to more drunks on the road, Keno Lottery coming to town was going to lead to more gambling addicts etc. We don't have early voting like other states and they are behind other states on making weed legal.... Property taxes are out of control here as are most taxes-until Covid came along many were fleeing the state due to the high cost of living...
  8. Wonder if this will be another winter of "the cold and snow is 10-15 days away"
  9. I thought the same thing unless I missed the warnings/advisories over the weekend?
  10. These warm patterns tend to overperform I bet we see some temps higher than guidance. Had it not rained 3-4 inches this week I would have taken a bet on a day close to 80
  11. SST temps are way above normal. That will keep us warm through December most likely. Then we'll have to see what the AO, NAO MJO etc want to do.
  12. yeah it must have built back in-we ended with about 1.20
  13. back half of the system is weaker than modeled....steady rain ended here a few hours ago
  14. It seems more often than not there's something to track the last week of October. Some certainly delivered, 2011 Snow bomb, 2012 Sandy, Halloween storm of 1991 etc
  15. Yep the 2 events this week will have delivered a much needed 2-4 inches of rain to most areas
  16. rain has commenced here...temps down from 65 to 57
  17. 11-12 featured a big PV like last year but was bone dry. Also had some big solar storms that fall that I wonder if they had an influence? Doubt we see anything that dry this year. Last year had the big PV but it was wetter, just zero cold air with the PV locked away.
  18. The old adage will apply-earlier to start earlier to finish. Happens alot with these fast moving storms-this one is more like a frontal wave vs the storm some models had earlier in the week.
  19. less marine influence there. Close to 80 degree water for a time this summer which has only slowly cooled off
  20. Not to mention SST's being 60 degrees...LOL
