  1. The bands feed into the center of the storm-they're called "feeder bands" for that reason.
  2. Fast mover so the rains will be limited to a couple of inches.
  3. look at tomorrow's event-case in point-models keep ending it earlier and earlier-we're done by daybreak Friday-earlier in the week it went into Friday night
  4. 2011 featured a bombing low-this is much flatter/weaker
  5. Yeah I've learned early/mid Nov cold generally is worthless-too early for snow and then the pattern flips by Mid Dec and it's torch city
  6. pushed the snow line about 50 miles north (in line with UKMET)
  7. Euro sagged southward with the biggest amts-yesterday's 12z had 3-4 inches of rain for most of us, now it's about 2 inches with 1-2 further morth. The 4 inch amts are now in the DELMARVA
  8. Amazing how many big events there are on our around 10/29 -1991 retrograder 2011 snowstorm 2012 Sandy 2020 nor'easter/snow big rains
  9. even if you chopped that in half, it's still a mild pattern
  10. Just have to get lucky where a sucker hole opens up. Looking at visible sat would think most of us see some break of sun later as the cloud deck is breaking up a bit.
  11. 76 here. Comically warm this week.
  12. weird to see it clearing from the east-almost like a backdoor
  13. I think they average 60 inches of snow a year? They'll be 20% there if they get another 6"
  14. reminds me of the June gloom we often see on the coast here when the waters are still cold
  15. Still have my roof rake but haven't used it much since that winter. I had a new roof put on our house this fall, has the ice dam protection with the leak barrier protection/roof roll so probably never have to do it again....
