  1. The airmass in front of the storm is warm-it will be near 50. Heaviest precip falls while it's still warm, by the time the cold air drills in, most of the heavy precip is done. Like you said, white rain or a car topper north....
  2. yeah new NAM is mostly heavy rain-with temps in the 50's Thursday, nothing would really stick on the back end anyway, maybe some white rain, whoopdeedoo -
  3. Cold day here-cloudy and temp of 29 not rising much since this AM
  4. GFS drops some snow as the storm pulls away Friday mainly north of the city
  5. bottomed out around 18 here. Frigid with wind blowing this AM. Would do mid Jan proud

  12. good radiational cooling last night

  15. 64 here. TORCH! Was windy earlier but has died down
  16. 64 here now well above forecast
  17. I caught the western edge of it. Was amazing-the sky (nighttime) was this surreal orangish color. I'd like to see a March 1888 redux too. That would be unreal
  18. I put away the kids sleds, snowball makers...thought about the shovels and other stuff and then decided to wait a couple more weeks....
  19. 59 here-left over snow in shady/north facing spots and piles starting to disappear fast

  21. CRAZY RUN 2 feet plus just N and W of NYC through 3/20. Op run in its weenie range but fun to look at -what's interesting is that this area has had the highest snowfall + departueres this winter...seems like mother nature likes to hit the same place over and over again.
