    indeed but how often do we see multiple storms in the same season here? guess you could count Elsa too-so we've had 2 this year

    Brutal. I turned on the TV this AM and it was painful to watch. Reporters panning in on puddles on the pavement and treetops that were barely moving. Just say that you're going to return to regular programming and then cut back in if events warrant. Interestingly back in Hurricane Gloria there was no local coverage outside of regular news times...the soap operas and game shows ran despite a legit storm...what's changed since then?

    Yeah we all want the big storm, but without having to live through the after effects lol. Days/weeks w/o no power is brutal.

    I think he's right-CT has historically done poorly with storms/power outages partly due to the forest nature of the state in generally and partly due to incompentency of the utilities

    funny how some surprisingly intensify and some don't even though they're expected to. Once this didn't get to 85-90Mph and coupled with the well east landfall (vs Central LI let's say) it was over for many as far as the wind threat.

    Lol. We had a 25mph gust earlier…my neighbor asked when the big winds are coming…funny how the general public doesn’t know it’s not happening.

    That’s exactly it no one wants to be the first to pull the plug. I remember March 2001 in NYC the local channels still had reporters in Times Square for an inch of slush. Tough call but at some point you say it’s not happening as we thought and pull the plug.

    I would resume normal programming at this point.

    It does suck. This looked like the real deal Thursday, then slowly fell apart. JB was saying 25 billion in damage at one point!

    The hype is out of control. Non stop coverage for what will essentially be a rainstorm in Most of CT lolololol
