  1. It gets people to click on the headline.
  2. whole thing will begin a slow fadeaway...no one is listening to Biden or Fauci repeat the same 14 month old talking points. The shutdown make sense last spring, but it no longer does-even Michigan is not closing much down with their latest surge and they had the largest shutdown last spring....
  3. We flew done to Florida to visit my parents for a week-went from LGA to RSW-same thing-lines, no social distancing-the folks who are flying are clearly comfortable with things now...some having been vaccinated probably helps. I still see restaurants frantically wiping down chairs and tables-what a joke-that is pure theatre-it's an airborne virus-cleaning a chair does nothing. (however it is nice that things are being clearned vs not cleaned at all, but alot of this is simply theatre to make people feel more comfortablle.
  4. that's why your 1st shot is rough. People that have had COVID tend to see stronger side effects on the 1st shot while people that have not had it have stronger side effects on the 2nd dose. Seems the 2nd time your body sees it you get the worst effects
  5. At some point if that happens just have to go back to mostly normal. Crazy to hide in. Bunker for years on end
  6. Let's hope. But it's becoming more and more clear the herd immunity % is going to be high. Many have had Covid and we're 20-40% vaccinated depending on state and it's still stubbornly high....
  7. I'd agree. We went back here in early March full time and the difference is astounding-they come home and talk about what they learned-happy to see friends etc. Beats 7 hours staring at a zoom screen.
  8. yeah, I can't remember the last wet period around here-most systems have underperformed since early March QPF wise
  9. can you expand on this? My guys are in 6th grade...
  10. had PFE 2nd shot 3 days ago-other than sore arm no other side effects....about 10 more days until I'm considered fully vaccinated.
  11. If we survived the last 4 years we can survive anything....
  12. I doubt most places will return to offices in the summer-maybe post Labor Day...not b/c of Covid, but b/c it's summer....if that holds its 18 months out of the office-imagine predicting that on March 1, 2020? Also the length of time has gotten people used to working remotely-hard to tell people they have to come back 5 days per week after that length of time....
  13. 68 and sunny here-another bluebird sky.
  14. 68 here-another bluebird sky to go with it...
  15. Not saying that but to say that it's totally 100% new within the last year is not correct.
  16. Sad. The mass shootings in this country are unreal. Just goes on and on.....
  17. the same people that think COVID is no big deal despite 600,000 deaths in a year in this country alone are petrified a 2 oz vial of vaccine will harm them, the irony is kind of funny....
  18. the vaxx was initially developed back in 2003 with the SARS outbreak then, but that never spread widely so there wasn't a market for it-so it's not exactly "new"
  19. herd immunity through infection would take forever at this rate...we're a year in-without vaccines this would take 2-3 years easily unless there were no mitigation protocols....who wants to live like this for that long? Not me. My kids have learning close to nothing in school in a year
  20. Eventually the doom and gloomers might be right but at least we're a week into April with nice weather-that's one less week of cloudy and east winds/drizzle
  21. that virus was only contagious when the person had symptoms. Easy to stamp out. No one's going to spend millions on a vaxx with so few people ill/dying.
  22. some of this was developed after SARS 2003-there ended up not being a market for it since the virus fizzled so I would not say its all new from 2020 on....
  23. yeah i get that, but from the school's point of view-we're open, you have the chance to get vaccinated so if you don't that's on you.
  24. it will be an issue mainly at the elementary level as 12 and up will have vaccines by Sept most likely
