  1. Yes when the sun when into the minimum some were talking about Maunder minimum little age coming type stuff. That was 10-15 yrs ago and I think the verdict is in on that one....
  2. Euro is a monsoon through next weekend
  3. the odd thing is I hear from people lately who have never had water and now they do-shows how high the water table got this winter....
  4. MJO quickly collapses into COD within 7-8 days so expect any cold to be short lived
  5. Daffodils have been blooming here for a week...they look ok today. The cold might be good to slow down the growing season a bit-we were 2-3 weeks ahead at the end of the torch
  6. We had a 7 inch snowstorm here in April 2018, but that capped off a great March with multiple snowstorms. So I'd say it's more likely in a year like that than a ratter this year with very little cold air around...
  7. Today would do January proud
  8. Where was that a month ago? We finally get a run through 8 and 1 (at least)
  9. GFS CMC and EURO are all similar
  10. I think it's a bit early for pre-emergent-I'd wait another week. But on your question we're looking at light amounts maybe .10 or .20 -
  11. I remember being too young to fully understand but it would be 10 or 15 degrees and I couldn't understand why the forecast was for rain the next morning...LOL
  12. Remember when he wished an inch of ice to some troll in NC and then it happened?
  13. Alot of +NAO and poor storm tracks doomed us in the 80's. You'd have bitter cold and suppressed then a cutter to the lakes right after....
  14. yeah...water table is very high here
  15. We've gone about 10 days or so here since the last big rainer-at least the water has stopped coming out of the ground lol. Dry air last 2 days really helping-dewpoint 15-20 degrees
  16. 12Z CMC with a bump west (This includes a bit more from a 2nd system next week)
  17. Euro and CMC are very wet just off the coast-with the usual correction N and W we could get a ton of rain
  18. Yeah I skiied western MA after that storm-it was great-no one was there (probably b/c there was no snow at the coast-back yard effect) and once clocks go ahead people lose interest in winter activities... Condition are horrid now except well north.
  19. 60's is fine if it's sunny-sun angle is strong now
  20. The warm oceans certainly make analogs from colder periods almost useless
  21. Nice for ski country but too late as some are already closed
