Some big winds here around 4-5am but has calmed. Bust on the rain (models had 2 inches here-got about .50) -
that makes the most sense-why blow a day for what could be just a windy rainy morning

Oh boy-never go with what UI/Eversource says....they are setting the bar high so they can look good when little to nothing happens... Although I give them credit it's a turnaround from storms like Oct 2011 when they said they were "Caught off guard" when you and the other channels were barking for days about it....

I think you woudl need many hrs of gusts to 60 to get widespread power outages in winter March 2010 had it go on for about 10-12 hrs which is what made it so damaging here.

That is true-SE winds are worse. We'll have to break the inversion though....certainly iffy on that but HRRR does the trick...

Was a 1 month winter but at least it was January-we started torching in early Feb
