The curse continues in Westminster Maryland. If the inverted trough misses west which I can kind of see happening already and we get stuck in between I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with 0. This one might end up being worse than the Jan 2022 event that gave Columbia 14 and us 2 or something like that. Whatever this 10 year pattern is I have had about enough of it. Beaches have seen tons of snowstorms in this time frame. I mean North Carolina beaches which average 1 inch of snow get an 18 inch blizzard. wtf is going on here?

Where have the clippers gone? I feel like in the early 2000s they happened almost every winter? Now in recent years we need a perfect situation to snow and even then it is a struggle. If its been northern stream dominated years, why haven't we had any clippers dive down in that northern stream? Maybe someone with more knowledge can provide some ideas.

Westminster is an absolute mad house today. This will be my first storm up in Westminster after having lived in Woodbine for a long time as a kid. Excited for whatever happens as we have had a rough stretch up here since I moved here in 2017.

It’s all good, I appreciate the analysis and maps everyone provides. Also thanks to the Mods for doing everything they can. Here’s to a bunch more FOLKS the next days. .

When will the main thread be locked down to storm mode? I learn a lot reading on here but it’s difficult scrolling through meaningless posts. .

Main forum is pretty DC area and south focused. Figured this was a better thread for us up north. .

Got a dusting today in Westminster, patiently waiting for one that gets us decent up here. I don’t think I’ve seen a winter storm warning verify in years? It’ll be nice when we get hit .

Can you or someone explain/show what we should look for in the Pacific as opposed to what we do not want? I enjoy reading and learning from you all in here. .

That was the most violent storm I’ve seen in a while up here in Westminster, could see the clouds rapidly ascending before we got pummeled, anyone know what Carroll Regional gusted to? I’m not far from there .
