What will be the breaking point that actually forces global changes is the question. Because so far it's been pretty much business as usual

Blowvember - and not named for wind potential

That's more likely than not -
+20 Huge fire season. Maybe all the smoke will hold temps down

Should give more ammo to the fires. Let it burn -
That has to flip. Maybe it will eventually, nothing stays permanent. Hell we thought the Pacific heat ridge near Alaska/West Coast would stick in the 2010s.

Let's get some 100s

We've seen several 100+ acre fires pop up lately.

Yeah I think the sunlight is much more relevant which is why even with record temps in Dec-Feb some years we don't see a lot of budding. But once March rolls around everything springs into action -
That's what it's looking like according to seasonal models. Things are going to be very bad soon.

It's a lot worse down here in Jersey. Literally no rain all month. Lots of small brush fires. A big fire is coming...maybe tomorrow? -
Yeah winter is not coming.

That's the problem. There's no middle ground anymore. If it wasn't for the worsening drought then sure but we are getting perilously close to some massive fire event.

Our area is recording its driest month on record, not just October. Going from one extreme to the next. I think when the next flip happens it's going to be extremely active. -
What a disaster. Dust bowl 2.0

In a few years we'll be putting up 85+ for Halloween

We're about to have our own California style fire season if this keeps up. These persistent patterns have lasted for months.

Agreed. People just wish casting that everything flips by December. A warm October/November is often a winter death knell. Seasonal models also show this. -
Things have looked dead for a while with the drought. Not much rain either expected though dry streak should end on Friday. Ridge keeps reloading east.

Rain would be welcomed. I don't know how it is up there but drought conditions are really settling in now.
