I mean the eps has been trending towards the gefs so far this season. It has been too warm in the long range.

Surface stays pretty cold but we need a block up north.

Snowicane was really interesting I got 4 inches in the morning then turned to rain in the afternoon then turned to heavy thundersnow at night and received 14 inches. Boston was raining because of the track.

From the Mid Atlantic forum Meteorologist Wxusaf Holy cow is the GEFS ever ripe D8-10. Confluence in New England from the TPV in Labrador, coupled PNA/EPO ridging out west and a gorgeous deep s/w moving through the southern plains. Precip panels look lovely.

Euro has the MJO stalling in 2 and going into the COD. Not a warm pattern at all.

According to the euro , the MJO will stall out in 2. We will see if that was a hiccup.

You weren't impressed with last week and some areas got snow. The MJO isnt moving into the warm phases.

Yesterday the models showed a really good pattern after next week. Proceed with caution.

That makes my top 5. 19 inches from that storm. Alot of the huge storms appeared a week out. 2006, 2016 appeared a week out.

I don't really remember that winter since I was only 5 I'm 31 I got 11 inches from Jan 2015. Upton's discussion was very eery for NYC. They had these words : Dangerous Crippling Blizzard on the way for the area. Euro and Nam had the huge totals while the GFS had only a foot and was right. Feb 2006 was also great. I got 19 inches in Brooklyn while Central Park got 26 inches. I was under a great snowband which produced 3-5 inches an hour rates.
